Bands and Musicians who desereve a movie.

Hello my fellow earthicans. This is a blog about some kick ass acts, that really should have a kick-ass movie(not documentary) done about them. This is all coming from a love for Spinal Tap and the fact that Anvil is great. However, I'm pretty sure there are a lot more famous and interesting stories about Sex, Drugs and Rock'n'Roll.

This being part 1 of 2.

Not in any particular order, number1:

Led Zeppelin: Rock Gods and Grandaddy's of metal,… Continue

Zombies: Then, now and the future...

Now who doesn't like a good zombie movie? I know i bloody love them from Night of the living dead to Zombie Strippers! The revamp of the zombie-horror genre in the past few years has left me craving more flesh eating, gut munching blood soaked action and so i began to reflect upon what the zombie incorporates and how the image of the modern day zombie has changed over the years as effects became more advanced.

First and foremost we must look at the work of George A.Romero, the so… Continue

John Connor: If we stay the course, we are dead! WE ARE ALL DEAD!

And so, the wait is finally over. TERMINATOR SALVATION has come to the big screen. And I will boldly state that I FUCKING LOVE THIS MOVIE!!!!!!!!!!! While not directed by James Cameron, which automatically guarantees a BETTER THAN SEX!! movie, but with McG behind the camera,This movie takes an unsuspecting twist and is the best Terminator project not… Continue

Dan's Retro Reviews: Eraserhead

...

What the fuck did I just watch?

Eraserhead is the surreal debut film from writer/director David Lynch. From what I can gather after wathing this movie, it is about a guy named Henry who has a "baby" (watch the movie to know why this is in quotes) with some girl and, as a result, has a series of seriously fucked-up dreams, which eventually causes him to kill the baby.

I have never seen a David Lynch… Continue

Terminator Salvation Review

Second blog review for Spill. Here we go.

Synopsis:

By now, we all know the story for this one. Set in 2018, John Connor is fighting against Skynet, while at the same time a death row inmate, Marcus Wright, who donated his body to science, wakes up to find how much the world has changed. I don't want to spoil anything, so I'll just leave it at that.

Review:

I'm a big fan of the first two Terminators, so I was excited… Continue

My Top Ten: Most Favorite Space Movies

Its that time of the month where I give my Top Ten on ANYTHING!

This month's theme of the month is the new Star Trek movie. After 10 films and a couple of years of absence, the Star Trek franchise comes back with a reboot and prequel treatment. I'm not entirely a Star Trek fan. Though I have seen some of the films and TV episodes.…

Terminator Salvation Review

Midnight movie madness! Caught this movie today with a full crowd. I have to say, I was excited to see this. I was eagerly awaiting this when I saw the first trailers. Now that it's over, I think I was a little too excited.

If you've seen even one trailer, you'll know the plot of this movie, so I'll skip that and get right into the meat. This movie was alright. Not terrible but also not awesome. It drifted more on the good side than… Continue

everything seem to get made into film, why not some concept albums

Evening All

Was just thinking the other day after the news that Battleship the board game is getting made into a film. It seem everything can get made into a movie. One day i think we going to see Tivo the Movie (i think it would be a reboot of Stay Tuned) but anyway.

I was thinking why aint Concept albums being made into movies. I mean Pink Floyd The Wall was made years ago into a movie (not great but ok). I mean we get musicals, comedies and Biopic but it seem like the… Continue

Dan's Retro Reviews: Richard Pryor: Live on the Sunset Strip

I remember one day, I was looking up reviews on Eminem's new album, and one critic compared it to this movie, Richard Pryor: Live on the Sunset Strip. Since I had yet to see this movie, I decided to go out and find it. I have heard the praise that Richard Pryor received from critics and other comedians, but I had never seen his stand-up acts, and I have only seen one of his movies, Stir Crazy (which is hilarious). So I figured this… Continue

You could have rode the publicity wave from the new "Terminator" film and lead the new Terminator fans to the TV show! The show was working, it was working towards something cool.

Dan's Movie Reviews: Angels and Demons

I meant to write this review yesterday, but I had a long day and was too tired to do anything afterwards.

Angels and Demons is the sequel to the 2006 film, The Da Vinci Code, both of which are based on the contoversial books of the same name by Dan Brown. This movie once again follows Robert Langdon as he investigates the kidnapping of four of the Vatican's cardinals, who just so happen to be the preferiti - the… Continue

Upfront Update #8: 'Cold Case' Renewed;'Sarah Connor' Cancelled;'Old Chrstine' Moving To ABC?

Here's a potpourri of upfront news regarding cancellations and renewals:

Source: Tvbythenumbers.com

"Nikki Finke reports that CBS has renewed Cold Case. Of all the longer-running CBS procedurals vying for renewal, Cold Case was the one I had the most doubt over outside of The Unit. Though compared with some of the renewal announcements on Friday from other networks, I suppose Cold Case seemed like a sure thing!"

My Favorite Non-Superhero Comicbook Movies.

Since I made up a list of my fave superhero comicbook movies list, as a comicbook nerd, I figured that I should probably make one up for those publications that are sans masks, capes & superpowers.

10. Men In Black

I was kinda surprised that as a comicbook nerd, I was never even aware of MIB until the movie came out. So afterwards, I decided to look up the printed version & check it out. And no wonder I had never heard about it: it was a piece… Continue

7:32 AM MOVIE

Hello All,

I just finished up a new student short film of mine called 7:32am and I'm looking for some feedback. A few of you have already seen it and I appreciate all your comments. So for anybody who has 10mins please take a look and give me some feedback if you can. It is a zombie movie that I came up with and directed, it is a student film that we made for nothing so our effects aren't of the highest quality.

Thanks and I hope you… Continue
