The Loading Bar BS and Email Show - 4-23-11
This week we get emails about gaming engines, the being too old (according to Sony) to play handhelds, the fair price of video games, children in horror games, a sweet kid from Hawaii says aloha, a mad gamer who doesn't get his lawyer fix, games at film festivals, one bad dog, and a kid who wants to make The Loading Bar game - for a price. And Jeff gets a puppy. Awwww...

THOR review
At long last, the Mighty Thor has come to the big screen and, since the film has arrived early here in the UK, I have seen it. But can it match the quality of the previous Marvel Cinematic Universe movies?
In short, yes. In long... well, just read the rest of the review. I don't want to talk to much about the plot, but it's your basic fish-out-of-water story by a lot of betrayal and action thrown in. It flows well and makes sense, but suffers the same problem the Iron Man…

Cranky's First Review of the Season: Dylan Dog
My son and I enjoyed it, but I would give it a matinee at best, more than likely rental as it is average. An interesting attempt, but missing something. several things really. Film quality I saw was some what grainy, which in these days of HD quality visuals, is somewhat disconcerting. There was also a couple of "glitches" where it appeared to skip. Bad editing? Most of the film is at night, so everything is dark and coupled with the grainy quality, took away a lot of the emotional impact…

Zeek's Summer Movie Season Survival Guide
Well, that time is close upon us now. Summer Movie Season. And even though I no longer work for a movie theatre, a part of me still feels like I should share some insight as to how to survive this season’s theatre traffic. Now, this isn’t going to be a FAQ, since I already have a couple of those. This is more of a consumer…

The TV Weekly #17: Steve Carell's Last Office & The Season Premiere Of South Park
"If we don't man up...we may not have a male population in two years"
A few days ago, I saw this picture of Superman wearing Chuck Norris pajamas. This is even more dispiriting than Superman renouncing his American citizenship. What kind of country have we come to where we consider…

"Somewhere" Is Truly Transcendent
Do you remember that comical but honest scene from Bong Joon-ho's The Host, where the family spends the night in the snack shack after searching tirelessly for the little girl? How about the scene near the end of Hung's second season, where Ray and Jessica jump in the lake together after all the drama that happened with Jessica's second husband?
