We’re obviously close to our summer season as my Human Resources Manager is now on a hiring blitz. Which is odd since corporate is getting our asses about having too many employees, but clearly they don’t know how many people it actually takes to run a movie theatre. They just know numbers and is trying to keep them out of the red as long as possible.
That said, this FAQ is actually aimed at those out there who may be looking at their local theatre as a potential place of summer… Continue

Beau always manages to come out of the woodwork when something like this comes out. It'll be quiet for weeks, no sign of him, just those mysterious squishy sounds and odd smells of the sea coming from his room, when all of the sudden he'll show up at my door clutching a package, exclaiming, "Cyrus, I think this is _____, can I have it?" I don't know how he knows. I'm beginning to…

The info! Co-Creator Of ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ Reveals More Details About New Film
That sound you heard last week? That was millions of “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” fans yelling “Cowabunga!” at the news that the famous Heroes in a Half Shell would be returning to the big screen in a new… Continue
It was maybe a year or so ago when a kid wrote on one of message boards:
“I hate Superman”.
Huh? I mean…like, whaaat? I was speechless for a moment and kinda hurt. Y’know?
You don’t just HATE Superman. You might “not like him as much as Batman or Spawn”. You might not like that he’s too powerful. You might not like that he’s such a ‘boy scout’. You may not like that costume hasn’t changed or that he still wears his underwear on the… Continue

After reading Mike's "How to Save Superman", I have to say that I don't think the Superman franchise can be revived in the quality film realm. While Mike raises several excellent points about the poor direction the films have already taken, and his proposals could be interesting projects, the fact remains that he is no longer a viable film subject. Now why is this? How… Continue
Apparently "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" is going to get 5 different endings. Gavin Hood told attendees at a recent press screening that the movie has 5 different endings going out with the various prints and theaters will be showing different versions.
This is probably due to the fact that even with the effects and extra crap added in those who have seen the movie are saying its not much different from the work print.
So how do we make it better? How do we get people to see… Continue

Fighting is a movie about a street hustler named Shawn MacArthur, who's trying to get by through selling bootleg CDs and books (how do they bootleg books?). At one point, a person tries to steal his stuff, and Shawn handles it with brute force. This leads him to getting involved with another hustler Harvey Boarden and making money through underground fighting.
Now, when I first saw the trailer for this movie, I was not… Continue

Once again, The ECBACC is coming. The annual East Coast Black Age of Comics Convention comes to Philadelphia on Saturday, May 16 2009. Listen in as my guests Yumy (pronounced U-ME) Odom,
According to a blogger on the website Incontention.com, The new Judd Apatow dramedy 'Funny People' starring Seth Rogen & Adam Sandler is looking like it could be an oscar contender.
This was the article from Guy Lodge:
I don’t mind admitting that I wasn’t entirely won over by the trailer for Judd Apatow’s “Funny People,” which, for all its smartness, seemed to me a little too calculated in its bid for… Continue
