Okay, first of all I HATE April Fools day. Fucking hate it. Terrible holiday. If any of you try to prank me today, you will not like the response. Let's just get that shit out of the way right now. I am NOT in the mood this year. So know now that this isn't THAT.
So less than an hour ago TWITTER exploded with the rumor that a X-Men Origins: Wolverine workprint hit the web ready to be illegally downloaded by potentially tens of millions of people world wide, quite possibly being the…

How are you gentlemen?! It’s Freeform ಠ_ಠ time! Tonight we dig our spork into another helping of Uwe Boll’s video game crapstravaganza. This time it’s
Far Cry. If you don’t know who Uwe Boll is, count your blessings and run screaming from your computer right now.
For the rest of you, yes, Uwe Boll got his greasy sausage-fingers on
Far Cry, a game that, while technically outstanding, isn’t really all that fun. It’s a really, REALLY pretty FPS on a tropical…

I really really really love this film. Okay, this film about A beautiful credit card phone operator lives in India but pretends to be American to her callers, an Indian credit card phone operator travels to San Francisco for a romantic liaison with a man she met through her work. Upon her arrival in San Francisco, however, she decides to keep her true identity a secret, which threatens to dampen the sparks between her and her potential…

It's Bernie Mac and Samuel L. Jackson: the SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOUUUUUUUULLL Men!!! (I couldn't resist.)
Anyway,
Soul Men is about this trio of singers played by Bernie Mac, Samuel L. Jackson, and John Legend. In the beginning, they show the history of the group: John Legend was the lead singer and the other two sang back-up, until John Legend went solo and eventually became a legend, while Mac and Jackson briefly went on as…

Well, even though it's not hard to figure out this movie's plot, I'll explain it to you briefly: an alien tries to conquer Earth and Earth's only defense is a small gang of monsters. Thus, an epic battle ensues! (Not really.)
I was actually surprised at how enjoyable seeing this movie was for me. The animation is good (really good), the characters are likeable, and the story is pretty cool too; I mean, who didn't at one point wonder…

You know, I was really excited when I got my Amazon.com shipping confirmation e-mail saying that my pre-order was on the way. I was really looking forward to watching the film with the audio commentary because of the rarity that special feature seems to be in as of late.
And then I read
this by another Spill member. It would appear that member Jason the Reviewer went out and bought the DVD in person and…

Last week was Anime Fanatiku's third annual convention! I had ditched out on my friends last year when they had run it and I felt bad, but last year I was actually in a good relationship and I had promised to go to an award ceremony for SUU. So this year, I told my friends that I was at their disposal for the day.
I drove down on Thursday for the last Staff meeting and helped with signs and such. I stayed the night with Hilly after helping pack more of what was in the St. George…

As a horror fan, I can tell you that my all-time favorite movie is a good horror-comedy. I’ve given up on being scared for the last half decade, so I figured if I’m not screaming in terror, I might as well be screaming with laughter. Here are my top picks for horror-comedies. Tell me which ones you love too!

Hello everyone,
Renegade made an excellent point regarding my inactivity in the Spill Community, but I recently signed a rather bizarre contract making it difficult (but not impossible) for me to write about recent theatrical releases outside the context of my job, so instead I'm going to start something called the Belated Movie Reviews, in which I'll review movies coming out on home entertainment.
I'm just really frazzled about Renegade indirectly calling me "pointless".…

Today is my birthday, and birthdays have become rather boring after going through the alienating trauma that is high school. Yeah, I should have gotten over it before turning 21 thanks to college, but that never happened.
So instead of going out and getting shit-faced drunk with what few friends I still have, I popped in my copy of The Incredibles and curled up with my dog to watch it on the family Christmas present, also known as the 52-inch HDTV and Blu-ray player.
And…

WHY?! WHy the fuck are they dragging up cult classics and gems of the past just to shit all over them with their sleek new movie gloss?
The Dark Crystal is going to have a sequel that relies heavily on CGI. The whole point of the first movie was to prove that puppetry could be used as a fine cinimatic art form. Henson's going to crawl up from the ground and deal some zombie rage on whoever greenlit this. It was probably his daughter, by the way.
Heavy Metal as a live…

After seeing this film in December i have been waiting for the DVD release. Like all DVD releases i want to see what kind of fun extras it might include. Making of? Interviews with my favorite directors? Great commentary tracks?
Slumdog Millionaire came out on DVD today so i rushed out to pick up a copy and view the film again. I went to Target and bought a copy that came with a copy of the shooting script which is fantastic. I read a…
