Coming soon , my review of a movie that manages to combine the thrills of 'Jurassic Park' and the mummies of 'The Mummy'! It's the 2000 (Yes it was actually made in 2000) film, 'The Mummy Theme Park'!

I don’t think it’ll come as much of a shock that I think this has been a pretty bad year for films. Sure, there was 'Star Trek' and I liked 'Watchmen' more than some internet folks seemed to but things like 'Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen' an...

The Happening is a stupid, stupid movie. I don’t think anyone can deny that. In fact, it may just be the stupidest movie I’ve ever seen and I’ve seen Snakes on a Plane and Mega Shark vs. Giant Octopus. It plumbs the depths of dumb in ways that few...

Oh fucking Jesus fucking Christ. What the fuck is wrong with the world? Why are things like this allowed to exist? Yes, Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer unleashed two pieces of cinematic garbage upon the world in 2008 and whilst Meet The Spartans...

Cinepub Review: District 9

I don’t think it’ll come as much of a shock that I think this has been a pretty bad year for films. Sure, there was 'Star Trek' and I liked 'Watchmen' more than some internet folks seemed to but things like 'Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen' and 'Friday the 13th' just can’t be overlooked and oh how I wish they could be. I held out hope, however, for one shining jewel in this sea of mediocrity and downright awfulness and that hope lay in the hands of a movie set in South Africa which was odd b… Continue

Last Year In Film: The Love Guru

I’m not a big fan of self-help gurus, a bunch of people who, it seems to me, manage to convince people that the path to true happiness involves buying all of their books and other assorted products. So I thought I might get something out of Mike Myer’s film “The Love Guru” especially considering that one of the first jokes features his character Guru Pitka holding up one of his books entitled “If you’re happy and you know it, think again.” Excellent, I thought. This might turn out to be a fine s… Continue

Last Year In Film/Great Scenes From Bad Films Part 9: The Happening

The Happening is a stupid, stupid movie. I don’t think anyone can deny that. In fact, it may just be the stupidest movie I’ve ever seen and I’ve seen Snakes on a Plane and Mega Shark vs. Giant Octopus. It plumbs the depths of dumb in ways that few films have ever done before and for that, the M. Night Shyamalan deserves some credit. A few days before reviews for the film were posted online, M. Night said that The Happening was intended to be a B-Movie and I can’t help but call bullshit. If it wa… Continue

Probably some of you have already read it or heard it on the latest LDT, but it’s just a reminder.

The final date for Amsterdam Spill Party is October 17th.

Start preparing, saving money and... be there! Because, seriously, what’s better than meeting Korey and fellow Spill members in Amsterdam?!

Hope to meet you all there,

Hey,

So as you know, the next London spill party’s coming up. Korey’s planning to make a video announcing it on the site but first we need to settle on where/ what we’re doing. Nick’s looked up two places we could go to, The Lonsdale Bar in Notting Hill (http://www.urbanpath.com/london/cocktail-bars/lonsdale-bar.htm) and the arches at London bridge (http://www.the-arches.com/listings.htm) . as you can see, these places have totally different atmospheres but there’s also the option that we start off at Lonsdale bar and then move onto the arches later.

We’re just trying to get a vibe of what people are feeling. If you could get back to either nick or me with what you want to do, that would be awesome!
