I have recently been going through my (very modest) comic book collection and at times a smirk appeared on my face as I recalled great (sometimes epic) moments from some issues.  There he was, in New…Continue

Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman – Trinity Review

This three-volume adventure is written/penciled/inked by Matt Wagner. The plot is very simple but surprisingly works like magic when it comes to brining together three of the most iconic superheroes. We follow Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman as they, eventually, team up to fight a group of thieves calling themselves The Purge; and organization that wishes to cleanse the planet of evil (I will refrain from diving more into the story to save you… Continue

Batman v. Aliens, 1998 Review

Ahh … I am fighting hard not to just give you my rating right at the start and save you the read. But, let me first justify my opinion and give you the rating at the end.

I think that the writer (Ron Marz) sad down one day and watched “Aliens” and then some Batman TAS episodes and decided to replace one of the marines with Batman and put the entire party in the middle of a jungle close to Guatemala and Mexico borderline. There, they… Continue

Batman Year 100 Review

This 2006 adaptation of the Dark Knight puts an entire new spin on the legend we all know so well. Is it good? Read on.

The year is 2039 and Gotham is not a nice place to live. No, it is not overrun by criminals (there has been a final solution applied to the supervillain problem in the future) but rather by the government. Everybody living in this police state of a city is under constant supervision, can be subjected to control and… Continue

Batman versus Predator Comic Book Trilogy Review

In this review, I will talk about three separate adventures covering the duel between world’s greatest detective and the world’s greatest hunter.

“Batman versus Predator” (1991)

This first installment was published by Dark Horse in 1991. The plot focuses on the Predator as he hunts the most powerful people in Gotham. From the heavy weight boxing Gotham champion, through crime bosses to Commissioner Gordon … no one is safe. The art… Continue

I'm sorry, but the fact that they aren't gods is why I think Thor will never live up to my expectations. But I was listening to a previous LEOG, and someone said that the reason that Thor can't be a god is because Norse mythology is public domain, and they need to make a different version in order to sell toys.

I just think it's stupid to make a "Norse God" black when there a good amount of black superheroes he could play *cough*blackpanther*cough*. And it's all because these "Norse Gods" are apparently space pirates.

Honestly I just wish they did an adaptation of Matt Fraction's Ages of Thunder. It has some Shakespearian dialogue, but everyone would have their jaws drop to the gates of Hel. It would make for such a badass movie.

And about Chris Hemsworth, I still don't see him as a convincing Thor. If I had it my way, I'd cast Alex Skarsgard from True Blood and Generation Kill play the God of Thunder and his dad Stellan Skarsgard play Odin.

Anywho l, what do you think of Idris Elba playing Heimdall?

For me, ever since I saw the picture of Thor with Loki and Odin, I thought "Wow that looks terrible." It looked like Foash Gordon meets Masters of the Universe. And it makes me believe that Kenneth Branagh does not get Thor at all. Although I'm not as angry as I was before, I still have lost all interest in this film. And like Fungusmonkey said in the post, Marvel is advertising this film the wrong way. I don't care about Thor just pulling a hammer out of the ground like he's King Arthur. It's nothing special, to be honest. If it turns out to be good I'll be surprised, but it looks terrible so far and nothing they have shown is selling me on why this will be a good film.

Oh and I've started to hate Marvel (in particular Kevin Feige) for firing Edward Norton.
