Since Spill is based on a community of film enthusiasts, it’s safe to assume that I am one. I actually have a pretty large collection of movies and television shows on DVD (slowly beginning the transfer of the collection to blu-ray). I do have other interests though. For instance, I enjoy video games (playing and collecting), comic books (I mostly read and collect trades and graphic novels for the convenience), reading, basketball, baseball, art, animation, and graphic design.
All Time Favorite Movies:
I like a lot of movies from a variety of genres, so it is hard to name which are my favorites. However, as I think of the ones I really adore, I'll try to add them. In terms of how a film is presented, I prefer animation. I wish more film makers would embrace using any number of animation techniques to tell their story.
All Time Worst Movies:
I usually try to find some good in any movie I watch. Therefore, like naming my favorite movies, it is kind of hard to list my all time worst movies I’ve seen.
Favorite Actors or Actresses:
Again, there are a lot of actors/actresses that really deliver a strong performance. Also, there are a lot of actors who really shine in certain genres. For instance, one may be a strong dramatic actor, while one is a strong comedic actor. Of course, you have the ones that just nail any role they’re in. So, I guess the point is there are too many actors/actresses that I enjoy.
Favorite Directors:
There are a lot of good directors out there. So again, I can’t take a firm stance on naming my favorites because I’ll probably miss a few.
I said "kind of." I know very well that Disney loves to keep the integrity of its characters as close to their original apperances as possible, but in doing so they deny a lot of really talented actors the opprotunity to branch out to other projects.
Unfortunately, I was too young to appreciate Mel Blanc as a voice actor before he died. I was old enough to notice a significant different between the replacements they got for all the characters he did, and since then I've been trying to keep tabs on outstanding voice talents as best as I can.
Hey Tommy - Been to 2 games already and went to the fan day workout before the season opened. Next game is Memorial Day. Love the new stadium - great view of the game and the food choices are outstanding! Nice watching the Mets win, even without Perez, Delgado, and Reyes. Let's Go METS!
I just found a site that does those close examinations of trailers, and they did one of this ME2 behind the scenes. Here's the info:
Some of the more notable features we noticed:
* There is a concept art of a ruined Citadel ship dock with an orange, menacing backgound where the city should be. Perhaps the Reapers throw the station into a sun or nebula.
* There are new heavy weapons.
* Lighting effects are much better.
* New enemies wear armor or appear to be robotic in nature, and there are what appear to be armored/robotic varren.
* The Normany is torn open in space at some point in the story, possibly leading Shepard to be declared KIA, as was seen in the first teaser of the game.
* There are shots of one of the repetitive dungeons of the first game: areas with one main floor full of boxes and a scaffolding, both levels containing adjacent rooms. This may, however, be just a testing ground for the game.
* Dismemberment is being added and melee combat is being expanded on.
* If characters like Kaidan, Ashley, and Wrex were killed during the first game, they will not appear if you load an ME1 save.
The last 30 seconds was of Shepard moving through the Normandy while it was being destroyed. It's possible that the ship gets destroyed, but he lives through it.
There are lots of drug movies out there- some exploiting, some trippy, and some terrifying. What is the best Drug Movie? And for the sake of actual "drug movies", movies ABOUT drugs, not movies that are drug induced i.e. Yellow Submarine. Hopefull...
