The Dark Knight Rises Movie Review (SPOILERS!!!)
THIS IS A SPOILER-FILLED REVIEW.
THE DARK KNIGHT RISES is a violent, aggressive, doom-ridden, thrill-ride of a movie... and yes, it's good, very good. Even a bit better than The Dark Knight. Yeah people really need to get a life. But I guess if you're gonna attack one of the most successful players in Hollywood, you attack him in a way that will make him say, "Wait, what the shit are you talking about?"
But yeah, Superman 4 almost made me cry with how lame it was. I still haven't brought myself to watch that one in the last 15 years. It's almost to the point where I've forgotten about Superman 4 (movie) but not forgotten that I didn't like it. lol
But yeah, I just don't think that Nolan (Chris or Jonah) have a history of doing movies that match up with the Superman character. And that WB is so desperate to get something in the theaters that they are looking for a marketing tool, rather than what matches talents with property. I just hope that whoever does the Superman movie will do a good job. I'm tired of Superman only really being good for 1.5 movies out of 5. Because the problems of a "good" Superman movie started to appear 1/2 way through Superman 2 and it's been out of control since.
Totally dead on, man. Chris Klein got it completely right. He read the title of this movie and took it exactly the right way. Every line he has is just dripping with 'I can't believe I'm getting paid for this'.
BTW, glad you saw the error of your ways with Transformers 2.
