I've taught a couple guest spots in grad school about creativity and technology in the classroom. Those are really different because you have to change the way you're entertaining or they'll talk over you... amd those college kids aren't small and easily intimidated.
I got into education because I was in eldercare, but I hated when my patients died. I wanted to work in an environment where relationships are important... I've always been a teacher assistant so I thought it would play to my strengths.
Every class is daunting and the field is always changing. It is the hardest thing I've ever done.
I don't know why I come back. ...well, I love a steady paycheck... and I feel like I'm good at it. It has become a part of who I am. If I wasn't teaching there would be something missing in my life. I'm a total nerd for it.
Buckaroo is one of those movies I really wanted to like, but just can't wrap my head around. Maybe a remake would be good.
One of these days I'm gonna get back to NYC, I would love to meet you! Korey mentioned possibly having a NYC Spill Party in November so I'll keep hammering at him.
