******SPOILERS******************************************************I saw a Spill member recommending "Incendies".I don't know if I would recommend Incendies...I've asked myself if the movie is good without the 2 shock reveals during the last quarter of the movie. I don't think the movie is not that strong without the reveals so I have to say that it's more shockvalue than filmmaking that is praised here. What do you think?See More

Spartacus - Blood & Sand: what's your first impressions?

After seeing the first episode, what's your first impressions?I kinda felt that on many levels, it was inspiring itself too much from "300" 's visual style (the comic book narration brought to TV) but some of the bloody effects were way to exaggerated. Heck, Spartacus was bathing in (comic book) blood by the end of the episode.Personally, Spartacus' first episode is a bit like comfort food ... very very familiar but satisfying. I guess I also had a void for series based on ancient roman times…See More

Personally, I thought the movie had a profound emotional impact. I felt that the ending was necessary because it was all steadily leading somewhere, and I like the fact that I didn't see it coming AT ALL. Maybe I feel strongly about the movie because my parents have lived such warfare in the Middle East and watching it with them was an experience to say the least.

Also, I think the acting was superb. It isn't a perfect movie but I think it did what it needed to do and then some, and I feel like at least some of the spill crew would enjoy it :)

P.S: I always applaud a movie that has me thinking about it long after the credits roll. This one had me thinking for a solid week haha

Sure, there's going to be problems but the fact an insurance cannot deny a paying customer with a pre-existing condition is a major step forward. That's the key...people can and will be dropped by their insurance if they or their kids have a genetic problem like cystic fibrosis. Out of pocket costs are what are KILLING the middle class.

It's not a full fix, but it's a step in the right direction.
