Hey! Sorry for the slow ass response. Been so busy lately. Films from the 90's, eh? Hmmm... Jurassic Park leaps to mind... Men in Black was decent too. All the Disney films, The Lion King, Beauty and the Beast and Aladdin were awesome. How about you? What were your greatest 90's films? Luff, xxx

Oh my, I can't believe Dracula: Dead and Loving It slipped my mind! I completely forgot that was a Mel Brooks film... but it's been so long since I've seen it that I can't remember most of it. My favorite genres are really stupid-guy-action, horrible-horror-flick-but-great-special-effects, and dry-humor-comedies. I'm not very picky though, just looking at my movie collection at the moment I like all types of movies; I've got everything from Crybaby to Clue. What about you?
I own Spaceballs and The History of the World: Part One, but in all honesty, I think Men in Tights was his best film as far as comedy goes. Spaceballs would be a close second, but I felt that Men in Tights had a more accesable humor, rather than any Star Wars pardoy havng only jokes that are only really funny if you've seen Star Wars. All in all though, I'm not the biggest Mel Brooks fan; I didn't think History of the World: Part One was very good at all (with the xception of the musical number about the Spanish inquisition or whatever that was). But Men in Tights is definitely up there in my top 3 comedy movies.
I agree that the acting being bad sometimes has more to do with the director than the ability of the actors and that's certainly true here for Bale at least. Either way, it comes off as bad.
I can name plenty of sci-fi films that make it work on every level. Just Blade Runner alone (my all time favorite movie) would be a slam dunk but if you're looking for a flawless action sci-fi film, look no farther than Aliens.
i don't know what to say about me other than i love movies almost as much as i love motorcycles.
and for the rest you can be the judge.
All Time Favorite Movies:
the silence of the lambs, american beauty, the exorcyst, the matrix trilogy, tim burton's batman, batman return and for i am a big batman fan i love the idiotic humor of the original adam west's batman the movie, of course batman begins, the dark knight. i like all of the pixar movies but my two favorites are wall-e and the incredibles. iron man i enjoyed a lot.

Okay, so it's a fact. You take advantage of little girls, you are either going to be called a pervert or a pedophile. Well, what if I was to tell you that there is a legal way to take advantage of little girls and get paid to do it at the same tim...
Criticizing someone's opinion is something I rarely do. If someone disagrees with my opinion on a film for example, I listen to their reasons for why they didn't like it and if I think they are telling the truth, I am perfectly fine with it. Unf...
We all hear the influence of Citizen Kane, The Godfather, Pulp Fiction, Gone With the Wind many times before
But what of Genre films; such as Sci-Fi, Horror, Fantasy, and Action
These films are usually dismissed by film snobs. But these simple ge...

You’re probably thinking, “What do you mean? Isn’t that why it’s called Sci-Fi?”
Well, yes and no. The method in which science is woven into the storyline has much to do in determining to what degree true science plays a part in a movie. It may b...
Ok so for the three people who read my blog you'll remember that when Twilight first came out at the movies it was like this rabid frenzy at my video store, every time I worked I had some 12 year old girl begging to hire the movie, before it had e...

Yeah, Ghostbusters 2 is somewhat divisive. I actually enjoy it for what it's worth.
I know, I love the oldies! The eighties were the best era, though people seem to point out back in the eighties I was still in nappies.
You off to the spill party? :) xxx
How's it going? :) x
