I really don't know what to think of NPR firing Juan Williams

I don't!On one hand, yeah what he said may have been a bit insensitive, but I don't know if it was grounds for firing him. Seriously look at this: Yeah that may make people uncomfortable, and yeah it's against the norm, but was it worth firing him over?Like I get why CNN fired Rick Sanchez, you can't let someone be a public figure for your company go around saying that jews control the media. That makes the entire company look bad.With this though, I feel like they could have suspended him or…See More

For whatever reason folks, I've gone persona 4 crazy.

About Me:
mildly interested in comic books, I prefer dc comics though because I got tired of marvel doing comic book spanning events all the freaking time. I also choose my name after the most obscure dc comic book character I could think of just to screw with people who choose their name after marvel characters.

I also like movies, and right now I'm kind of getting into old black and white horror movies.

Ragman's Rental Theater: An American Werewolf In london

Hello fine readers of Spill! I've decided to do something different today: instead of reviewing new releases it's dawned on me that it is the first quarter of the year, aka the time where no interesting movies are released into theaters. So this leaves me with little option but to rent movies I haven't seen but keep hearing people yap about and then review them for the fine readers of Spill! Now then, let's take a look at the first installment in a new series of blogs that I like to… Continue

Ragman gives his opinion on The 66th Golden Globes

Well folks, The 66th Golden Globes have just ended so I've decided to say my piece on the nominees and winners of the awards. Before I go on however I would like to note that this will only be my opinion on the awards that were handed out to films, not television shows. So let's get started!

Best Supporting Actress

* Kate Winslet - The Reader

* Amy Adams - Doubt

* Penelope Cruz - Vicky Cristina Barcelona

* Viola Davis - Doubt

* Marisa Tomei - The…

Ragman Reviews "The Wrestler"

Ok let's get one thing straight right off the bat before I begin the review proper, I am a huge wrestling fan and I'm not ashamed to admit it. I freaking love pro-wrestling. So when I first heard about this movie I immediately thought of the horrors of past wrestling movies, most of them staring Hulk Hogan, and thought that no way this film could be good.

Then I heard that Mickey Rourke was going to play the lead. I started to become more interested in this movie as I followed the… Continue

Ragman's Review of Slumdog Millionaire

Now before I get to the review proper let me first say this: I liked this movie. I didn't love this movie or think it was so good I wanted to go run over roger ebert, back the car over him, run him over again, get out of the car and curb stomp him, then finally beat him over the head with a sledge hammer like some film critics after they saw this movie I just happened to like it that's all.

Now how much did I happen to like it? was it :…

Raggy! You had better read this!

What was the link to that video you posted once (I think it was you). It had an artist sculpting an anime figurine of some sort. Send me the link, damn you!

so...as a spur of the moment thing, I bought a book on PHP, MySQL and JavaScript. I totally blame you, jerkface. (dhat)

I haven't started reading yet, but I'm wondering if I'll need any time of compiler to practice this stuff.

Hey Rag,

I need your help.  There is a first annual beer festival this Saturday, and I am thinking about going.  I am not sure how great it will be because our state alcohol level for beer is 5 percent (lame I know).

I was dropping by to wonder what you know about any of these following breweries.

http://www.topofthehopsbeerfest.com/biloxi/breweries.php

It seems like very few of them are Appalachian brewers, so I am unfamiliar with most of them.

I want to know how serious they are, and if this thing is going to be worth the 40 bucks for the ticket.

I really must thank and curse you, Rag. I paid a recent visit to HK Flix not too long ago, just to browse before I completely forget about it, and I ended up spending 200 dollars on  movies. If it weren't for your long-ago recommendation of this site, I wouldn't have gotten back into Asian cinema again.  Hell, I even dished out some more ducats recently for a region-free dvd player just for the sole purpose of buying and watching movies from the Far East. It's a double edged sword, Rag, and I thank and damn thee for passing it unto me.
