I miss Carlyle in the reviews.

For all the people that miss Carlyle in the reviews and on ACOCO. But he is moving on to bigger things and we support him in that.

Scott Pilgrim vs the World, Advance Screening review

Out of sheer luck, I found advance-screening tickets to Scott Pilgrim on the ground while waiting in my college's financial aid line; which is great because I was planning to watch The Expendables that weekend too. Shaun of The Dead is a great spoof movie. Hot Fuzz however may be one of the greatest comedies of all time; it’s in my top 30 movies of all time. I agree with Co Host that Hot Fuzz is the best film of 2007. It was such a tightly control screenplay that had everything from great…See More

Dude, I've been incredibly vocal about how I'm not a fan of the show. I'm certainly not willing to subject myself to more of it, much less an entire season, when there are so many other things I WANT to see waiting in the wings. Now, if Brian decides to watch it, that's his thing, but I find it awkward that I even need to explain this at this point.

But here's the difference between something like Platoon of the Dead and Freidberg and Seltzer.

F&S, are able to get people that are actually TRYING to have some kind of career. They aren't good actors, but they are at least working to IMPROVE their abilities and took the role because it would give them "work" (Both money and recognition). Plus, they are able to actually have a "polished" look to their stuff where you can see someone actually took time to work on the background and scene-dressing.

Platoon of the Dead? Well, there just isn't any ounce of "professionalism" by anyone involved. The actors, the sets, the scenes, the direction.... all nothing more than just a bunch of "friends" getting together and doing a movie just because someone had a new camera from Wal-Mart.
