Ah, gotcha.

Normally, I would include something in regard to an "Older" (Like the 1980's) movies being bad/good/or horrible. With 2009, there was just too many available sites for someone to track down an unbiased review. I really was tempted to use the "Spill Review Ratings", but after about 10 movies... I got so "behind" that I couldn't complete the blog by Jan 1st like I wanted to.... so I just went 'basic' with the blog. In truth, the 2009 one was probably the one I really didn't like doing the most because my heart wasn't in it like the older ones. =/

The "Year-of-Movie" blogs were never intended to be specifically about which movies I have seen, or even which movies I recommend or warn people away from. They are simply a "review" of a year about the movies that were released in a given year. While I had to put in some guidelines (Like released in 500+ theaters in a week) to make it manageable, it isn't an indication that I've seen all the movies. The ones I state that "I passed on", usually are the ones that either didn't appeal to me, or that I missed. Notice that most of the titles I say that "I passed on", I tend to just leave it at that and don't make a comment one way or another how the movie is, nor tell people to see it or avoid it.

Basically, it's just a "Snap-shot" of the movies that came out, sometimes with an attempt at humor thrown in for interesting reading when possible.

There's plenty of new stuff that I like. I just don't like people mandating that I have to watch a show AND that I must like it because they do. Let me watch it without the "buildup" so that I can judge it on my own. That's what's lost.

Sure I like the older stuff more, because for the most part those were the shows that I walked into blindly, and didn't have this "You MUST like it" mentality pushed on me.
