Southwest Airlines Rules Rule!

I have spent my share of time aboard planes, and I am a large man, tall, man sized in frame, some have even called me robust. Even at my heaviest, (imagine if an already fat 6'4" man somehow balled up Claire from Lost and taped her to his middle), however, I was never kicked off a plane for being too fat (and I have flown several Asian airlines with no legroom and seats designed around knockle butted twelve year olds). I have, however, had to sit next to big too fat people on planes, and I…See More

Profile Information

Hometown:
Austin
About Me:
Lifelong fan.
All Time Favorite Movies:
Chinatown, Usually movies where nothing works out the way it was supposed to and the hero gets shit on. Bonnie and Clyde, Breathless (original). Or anything starring The Marx Brothers. Really loved UP. 2012 - Perks of Being a Wallflower, Silver Linings Playbook, Seeking a Friend for the end of The World, Safety Not Guaranteed = to be continued...
All Time Worst Movies:
Anything Star Wars except the original Star Wars, and I resent that one for bringing the whole subject up. I like deconstructionist movies, like Star Wars or Reservoir Dogs, where key information is withheld because it doesn't matter, you can fill in those particulars yourself. Then the sequels come along, or the pattern is established, and the following movies end up failing to me.
Favorite Actors or Actresses:
Harpo Marx and Mickey Roarke. Really adore Emily Blunt and Kiera Knightly. Steve Buscemi, Steve Carrell, I like a lot of actors. It's hard to say who I don't. Jessica Chastain, love her. Gerard Butler - don't like him at all. Jack Nicholson - doesn't work much anymore, but his movies have filled up my life until now. Marissa Mell and John Phillip Law in DANGER DIABOLIK! Anna Karina.
Favorite Directors:
Hal Hartley, Godard, Melville, Olivier Assayas, Seijin Suzuki, Stephen Soderberg - a failed Soderberg movie is usually more interesting than a successful movie by anyone else. Really gotten into the 1960's Japanese New Wave movies and the Michaelangelo Antonioni movies like Red Desert, L'Avventura. Criterion releases are the movie lover's best friend.

It's the least I can do. You were instantly one of everyone's favorites. Have fun Mr. Neill.

You know, Batman had a lot of Daddy Issues that I have paid pretty good money to get out from under. I am going to the village on the Indian side of the border. Tibet is like a weird border stte between China and India, and sometimes they get really militant twoards their visitors. Frankly, I don't want to do a tourbus/trek thing. So I am going to the Dalai Lama's town, which should be full of people with Daddy Issues itself, because it's in India so I don't need a special Visa, and there will be plenty of positive weirdness to feed my inner Bruce Wayne.

I'm 45 today! My yogi slammed me with 45 rounds of Asana - the most yet. I ended up napping when he left.

I'm so out of it in regards to music, but I do love that Amy Winehouse. That poor, self destructive, doomed Amy Winehouse. She takes the Ray Charles sound and puts a new beat toit without fucking it up. No small task. Her songs are all about snaking around and ugar daddys. And she's covered in morning after tattoos. You should hear Bronson and Aleta singing Rehab.

Gotta go get the kids! Peace Out. The photo was from when my eye was infeccted, but almost cured, and I was playing with my new camera. I like it too for some strange reason. jmn

If I'm not mistaken, you HAVE TO make the Himalayas trek to the Batman. The rules are very clear on that.

"My theme" song is from Swing Out Sister's 3rd album. Most of their music is very Dionne Warwick/Burt Bacharach/ 5th Dimension, but that on that one album they went blaxploitation.

I love the photo you posted here, btw!

Greetings Oh Princes of Popcorn, Kings of the Kino, Wizards of the Web... I sure miss you guys. All I remember about Die Hard Again was that it was so good to see everybody, even though it was just for a minute or two.
A monkey, abouut four feet tall, walked in our door the other day. Just strolled in while Pam was talking to our driver (Believe me, it ain't a Gren Hornet and Kato kind of driver - It's more like that time Gilligan and the Howells made tahat bamboo car...) Anyway, he just walked on in. We are on the 12th floor and they just own the place.
I got a digital camera and will send some cool pictures. CCool weird pictures. They are building - I swear - The Eastern Branch of Arkham Asylum about a block from my house. But we have been moving and unpackig and making the most out of not living in the Americanized La Quinta school of architecture compound. It's so much better. No zombie/mummies ringing the doorbell al the time.

Oky, I'll admit how stupid I am abouut this modern age: I don't know how to add friends to my friends list, or maybe I fear I will be rejected in my request. Is there an instructions link, because, brothers, you got this science tight. I feel like I am hanging out with you when I am on the site. It helps a lot because between online school and writing my great american novel, I'm kind of a shut in.

We did buy a bunch of movies in Thailand and China, so I am only about a month behind on movies. Dug 3:10 to Yuma, made it through about 10 minutes of Shoot em, up... And, I have been getting caught up on the last couple of years movies that I bought before I left. Venus was amazing. But The Venture Brothers, Volume 2... Holy Cow.

I'm babbling... JMN

Sounds like you are making the most of it. My mom keeps bringing it up for me to go back to Vietnam with her, so I am slowly considering it. I'm not sure why I'm so hesitant.

I'm not real good at this community/blog stuff, but I am thrilled that you are my first friend. I had no idea who Domeister was though! I am going to change my picture and add to my profile, but I wanted to get the ball started. I still can't really download the reviews yet. I get the first few bars of "Try to keep it real..." and then the Rewind and Send To A Friend pops up. We just got the internet on Saturday. India is weirder than anyplace you have ever imagined - And I have been to your birthplace! I didn't go to the wedding of the guy that married his dog, but a friend of mine was Best Cow. We moved from the All American compound to this great big skyrise in a small town and everything got better. The building is still under construction, so there is constant hammering and drilling noise, but in India, there is never any quiet anyway. It's weird, but a year has almost passed already and you would be surprised what you can buy from pharmacies here without a prescription. jmn
