Hey, Huey, first of all, I'm not here to make fun of you. I'm just here to give you a third-person perspective on this whole thing, sometimes you don't realize things until you get a third-person account. I can tell you from listening to the podcast...Korey's not being a dick to you, man, and I get that you do realize that to an extent, but on the podcasts you just come off as having no sense of humor. Realize that Korey's just a funny guy, and he needs to tease...and yes, sometimes, make fun of...his callers to keep it interesting for the listeners. He's a funny guy, he doesn't mean to make you feel like shit, it's all in good humor. You may just need to...learn to laugh a little, you know? Alright, well, just my two cents. See ya.

No Problem at all. I grew up playing the game for the Gensis and loved it. I think it would make a really cool animated film. Don't listen to the haters they just have nothing else to talk about.

Actually, I was more surprised that the TMNT movie made that much. I thought the 'turtles' were sort of over with, but guess not. lol

I know, but I would really like to see the 98 looking Godzilla exploit the Lizard connection much more. Would be cool aspect to use in a movie, but wouldn't detract from the Japanese versions of Godzilla.

While I'm personally not a fan of the 2005 version of The Producers, I do think it's sad that something like that got screwed with it's release. I mean, technically it IS a remake of the 1960's version, yet it was still right behind the play on Broadway walking away with a ton of awards, so the audience was ripe for another movie. Why they decided to do "limited runs" then slowly add more theaters, I don't know. I personally would have dumped it out on around 1000 screens for it's "limited" part, THEN a week or two later put it out on 3000 screens.

But, that's the way they handle things in Hollywood that I still haven't understood. And while I think it's odd that it didn't get handled that way, I'm probably going to piss off a LOT of people with 2008, because Gran Tourino was handled the same way, and might not be on that list.... I'm not that far ahead. lol

The Producers opening weekend was a limited run of 6 Theaters which got expanded to more each week. It officially never had what would be called a "Opening Weekend" as it grew in both theaters it's shown in, and popularity until it became a "wide release".

I don't hold anything for or against the movie, just it's "opening" didn't meet the 500+ theaters. If you go back over 2004, you'll see that I also left off Million Dollar Baby, which had a similar situation of small "opening" and then took off.

I agree, Peter Pan was nicely handled, and it DID do a good job of telling the Peter Pan story.

I just liked the Disney version more because it's the one I'm more familiar with, and I have private memories about the movie that makes it important to me that the Live-action version would never be able to touch.

BUT... I thought they did a lot better with the movie than I thought they would, and for that I'm glad.
