I have an affinity for Tim Burton movies... always have. I do not think his current movies are anywhere near the level of talent that he once had back in his Beetlejuice, Batman, Edward Scissorhands, Ed Wood days... but I'm a true fan and always will be.

i feel, though i'm far from praising it, that willy wonka got a bad rap. it was a decent film, clever at times, but Burton got into this phase where all of his films can't just have Johnny Depp in the, but they STAR Johnny Depp. And i love Depp's acting, i just wish he'd get into a role as a comical supporting actor, not the lead, because i'm tired of him being a serious thespian, i want to see him in a laughable enjoyable film. Like Tom Cruise in Tropic Thunder. Depp has to start making fun of himself to truly achieve greatness. And the same seems to be happening with Alice: teaser poster=mad hatter. top billing=mad hatter. I mean, come on! This is ALICE in wonderland, and it was CHARLIE'S adventure. Not Willy Wonka's, not the Mad Hatter's. As for Burton's direction, always amazing, but he needs to get better films. I miss Edward Scissorhands and Nightmare Before Christmas. Generation defining (i'm a 90s kid, and would enjoy not being remembered for MC Hammer and ridiculous clothing). Your idea on Alice bombing reminds me of "The Producers," in a way.

some of my co-workers are with you on the naps at work. they pull out their pillow and curl up under their desk and sleep; or they take a nap and their desk and yell at you if you dare to wake them up. Now for these people, the nap is 30 to 45 mins long. So for them, I don't think they would want to do just a short nap.

1ST "EXPENDABLES" TRAILER!!!

Like Action movies with lots of Action with a little Action on the side? This movie might just be for you. I'm not sure what I was expecting to see from this movie and the comedic moments were a bit surprising, but once they get into blowing shit up... nothing else matters.
