Here’s the truth: Tommy Gavin is an alcoholic, in which most of his family hate him for it, he is separated from his wife, his oldest daughter hates…

Dr. Detfink said… Not Sure...I'm not too picky but two places that come to mind are...
Was thinking about Side Bar @ 118 E. 15th street near Union Square. While it's a little shee-shee-foo-foo, the menu isn't bad at all and they have enough screens for something like the draft.
Firefly on Spring street near Lafayette and Mulberry also offers a lot of flat screens but is a little more expensive if you order outside of burgers (which is fine by me)...
Figure we should meet somewhere around 7pm. I'm done for meeting anywhere for the draft so long as I don't have to duck and bob my head to see the pick. What are you done for?

Dr. Detfink said… Right now, the Knicks are like painted Eggs, pretty look like but will stink and be thrown out by Easter Sunday evening tomorrow. Finally CC gets his first win. Don't look now but Tampa is right behind New York.
Dr. Detfink said… 4. Where do the Magic and Mavs go from here? Always a bride's maid and never a bride I can't see either of these franchises making a deal to go any further. Do you scuttle your assets and start over? Mavs have reported big losses. Remember the last time the Magic lost their best center? Hmm...
5. Phil Jackson and Doc Rivers, who returns FIRST? Got a sneaking suspicion, the Knicks will be monitoring the actions of Phil and Doc. Doubt either returns right away but I can see both taking time away if not for good.
Dr. Detfink said… After two games, it's painfully apparent of five observations:
1. Let's not count out the favored teams Yet: So last night, all this talk about the Nuggets, Hornets, and Grizzles was short lived as OKC (2-0), Spurs and Lakers evened their series. For the remaining Knick fans who felt NY was fleeced, Gallo/Chandler/Felton 27 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists...Melo almost doubled that production by himself playing alongside Waiver Wire All-stars. No WAY Hornets without West can sniff the Lakers. Chris Paul is a snake. Babying his knee then come playoffs put on a clinic. Paul basically saying, "Hey NYK, you might not want to exercise Billups 14M option next season. Lastly, I like the Grizz but they have two black holes: 1. Zach Randolph 5-14 2. OJ Mayo 2-11. Sorry still like the Spurs to eek it out of round one.
2. NY Knicks are clearly a sixth seed but haters act like they are a Top Seed. Let's not mistake the Knicks with the Ewing/Oakley era. Not the same team, front office, coaching, or even the same fan base. The Knick fan base resembles a beaten house wife. I argued with other Knicks fans who felt giving up Mozgov was too much for Melo/Billups. I mean, seriously? Seriously? This was a team that was rebuilt with 35 games left in the season. They are NOT a favored team. Hence Celtic fans acting like KG scored on Bernard King in his prime are silly. Celtics barely beat Melo and Waiver Wire all stars in Game 2. A Sixth seed is just that.
3. Clearly this playoffs belongs to Derrick Rose or does it? On paper, no one has an easier road to the Finals than Chicago Bulls BUT...the Miami Heat are somehow quietly peaking at the right time. The C's could tire themselves out against the Knicks setting themselves up for a colossal collapse.
Dr. Detfink said… Ah, I stand corrected. Tomorrow's Editorial event starts at 6pm. I get out of work around 3:30 so I will save you a seat. :)
Thank you Josh Hamilton. Perfect time to get hurt when Texas is about to show up at Yankee Stadium.
