I never hear folk who love it ever admit to it's cheese so i guess if you like it you go fully with it. Did the first one end with the KFC guy spewing a huge load of absolute existential claptrap or was that the sequels, anyway each to their own.
I also hate and walked out of Moulin Rouge lol but that's a whole other story...

I get asked this a lot but I genuinely started hating the Matrix with shit like the names - Mouse coz he's small, Tank coz he's big! come on! the cheesy finger wagging/ I know Kung-fu, Kanu Reeves wooden performance, and I absolutely couldn't stand Hugo Weavings voice - Miissteeer Aaanderrrsssson ARGHHH! me and wife were both very pained by it and thought everyone else was until at the end when they all clapped and I was kind of gobsmacked then the world went Matrix mad and I just didn't get it? Yes it has groundbreaking FX but i really didn't like it. As for Forrest Gump, I don't like Tom Hanks, I hate the name Gump! and it was so treacle thick American idiot obliviously does Everything while everyone around him dies or get's their legs blown off, just made me feel queazy lol.
