My Review of "Avatar" and How Movies Will Never Be The Same

My over-excitement from walking out of the IMAX theater last night has calmed down enough for me to write this review. I usually only write movie critiques if I feel it would actually be worth my time. Not only do I feel this is worth my time, but I see it as an obligation. Last night, I took the liberty of driving 30 miles away from my home just because it was closest available IMAX theater that was showing James Cameron's "Avatar." I decided… Continue

My Long Awaited Review of "District 9"

Its very rare when I take the time to sit down and write a well thought out review for a movie. I started my vacation 3 days ago and that makes it even more unlikely that I'll go out of my own way to write an extensive review. However, every now and then a movie comes along that has such an effect on me that I feel a full review is obligatory. I had almost completely given up on this bullshit of a movie season that we call summer. "Wolverine" was just pure crap, "Terminator" fell flat, "Harry… Continue

Star Wars: The Reboot We Need the Most

I know, I know, you fanboys are all probably thinking the same thing, "Blasphemy!! Blasphemy!! How dare you say we need to reboot Star Wars!!! Crucify him!!!!" Hey, I'll be the first to say, I would've had the same reaction. The thing is, I would've had that reaction years ago, before the prequels, before the cartoons, before the marketing, before the universe expanded and essemtially changed Star Wars from what it was. Not only would I have had that reaction because it was Star Wars, but also… Continue

I think you hit the nail on the head there, the relationships between the characters is what keeps bringing me back. Even though I didn't like that mean girls episode, Abed was great in that (not that he is ever bad :P) but I like the way he interacts with everyone. The same thing with that secret garden one, Troy and Jeff have a great chemistry (in a non-sexual way) together and always make me laugh.

Hey, yeah I like the idea of that and when I saw that season opener, I thought that would be great when Abed said that. That spaceship episode is definitely one of my favourites too. The reason I love it though is because it seemed like it was possible in the real world, just slightly exaggerated for comedic effect, but I could see a petty rival between schools like that and the Apollo 13 references fit really well into it. The recent conspiracy theories and mean girls/secret garden episode didn't really work for me though. They didn't seem possible to me and a lot of the jokes didn't really work either. It felt like I was watching Scrubs season 5, where it had some great ideas, they just didn't know how to write it properly and strayed too far away from the original magic of the show. What do you think though? Did/Do you watch scrubs?

Hey! Sex with girls can be a geeky thing... sure its an elaborate fantasy, but its involved.

Ha ha ha ha... sad sigh.

I meant no hostility. I just meant a realization at how wrong I was. But the major reason is probably the amount of geeky people that hate sports. I don't personally; it's just not my thing.

Hell yeah, man! The Giants rule! I especially love Jolly Green, Paul Bunyon, Hagrid...

Oh wait. You were talking about sports, weren't you?

Fuck.
