I would have titled this
FAQs, but I don't really get anything FAed, so... Here's what I think would be interesting and topical for any Spillion with a spare minute or 15.

And yes, the trolls were hilarious!
God! They don't make them like that anymore!
Thanks for watching and giving me feedback, Allison! I appreciate it!
Anyway, Have a nice week!
I'm actually heading to the video rental now to check what Bond movies they have on the shelves there :)
I'm ashamed to say I have experienced very little of the James Bond movies. And the only ones I've seen have been from the Roger Moore and Pierce Brosnan eras. I do hope to sit down some time and watch all of them (My brother loves the series and has often urged me to do so) but I've never gotten a chance to actually hunker down and see them. I think I'll schedule that in for when I get through my "must see" pile of movies. (I currently have 7 movies and 2 TV series in my "must see" pile and over 50 movies in my "to see" pile...) Would you have any suggestions or recommendations as for the order to view them?
What usually scares me the most about asian horror is that the killer is rarely a person or monster with a directive, but an indiscriminant force. Also, the atmosphere itself will tend to be more icky with an almost glue-like quality.
In my search for information on World's Strange Stories, I stumbled upon an episode that I saw as a teenager that gave me nightmares for a week. I'll translate/transcribe it for you and send you a link some time. :)
As for my favorite kings of movies, I'll watch pretty much anything that crosses my path, but if I were to rank the genres, it would be #1 Drama, #2 Action, #3 SF, #4 Comedy and #5 Horror. Foreign (non Japanese or English) films I will watch, but only when I have an open space of time where I can both watch and afterwards reflect on the movie.
I've done a little searching and as far as I can tell, World's Strange Stories is the most famous (And possibly one of the only?) Japanese version of the Twilight Zone.
I may not be the best barometer for Japanese cultural reference, but from my own experiences, most of the Japanese horror seems based more on inducing fear from the situation and not necessarily the stage. So while western cultural-based things will be utilized, they are usually not the main focal point. Of course, I'm not the biggest horror buff, so I may be way off base here.
By the by, I really really enjoyed the discussion you guys had about asian horror. It was really insightful and gave me a lot to think about :)
