One of my friends and I have recently been on the search for a movie that is genuinely terrifying to watch. Not just scary or horrific, but a film that as you watch you think "What the shit have I got myself into here?" A film that draws you into th…

I could have bought it for £5 today, but something keeps telling it would suck. I would DL no doubt but I ain't gagging to see it. Now I think I know why. Guess a film like that fits with your recent blog. They feel they need to crank up the gore to get folk scared. But it doesn't. The best horror is what you can think up. Not what they tell you. I'll give it a nice swerve for now. Thanks for the reply.

Hi. After reading your comments on FC's page *points down* I need to know is Mum and Dad that bad? I'm from the UK and it's raised a few eyebrows here. Haven't seen it yet. Could have bought it for a five spot today. I do fear that's all gore and zero story. Is this the case? Oh and sorry to tell you. But there's no such thing as a true terrifying horror movie. And you know why? Us! People. We don't know how to be truly scared anymore. Thanks in advance for any info you can give of Mum and Dad. The Guy...

Bruno Review

I wasn't exactly planning on seeing this at the theatre, let alone did I expect too much from it but, low and behold, I ended up having a great time watching this. Possibly one of the more shocking/explicit movies you'll have seen lately it pushes the boundaries that only Baron Cohen would be brave enough to push. You have dicks swinging around on camera for uncomfortably long periods of time, footage of swingers in action, two dudes doing some things you never wanted to see two dudes do...ever,… Continue

Appaloosa Review (Quickie)

The plot of this movie is nothing that you haven't seen before. It pretty much borrows aspects from a lot of Western movies past, but these are used more as homages rather than cliches and by itself stands as a respectable and entertaining film.

Viggo and Ed are awesome as the hired guns trying to bring law and order into a town being overrun by outlaws, whereas Zellweger (playing the love interest who you just know is gonna get our heroes into bother at some point along the way) was pretty ave… Continue

Frost/Nixon Review

I watched parts of the real Frost V Nixon interviews before and after I saw this film and it was amazing to see Langella's portrayal of the controversial ex-president and how he totally embodies the character. No, he doesn't really look much like the real man, but he sure dishes out a convincing and compelling performance that almost steals the show, although you can't discount the supporting cast, especially Rockwell, Platt and MacFadyen. Kevin Bacon was by no means bad but didn't do anything y… Continue
