From my friend who beat RE6, he said that Jake's story ends up being pretty interesting. It feels like they abandoned the horror aspect in favor of making an action game. I don't see them going back to being more of a horror game.
I feel the same way about DMC. I would have been a lot more interested in the game had it been an original IP rather than a poor imitation.
