Beyond watching a movie, often I would dwell deeper by engaging in further research into the movie matter (bless the internet) and very importantly read the movie novel. The thing is the novels for the 'bad' movies aren't that bad most of the time and crucially they give a broader and more detailed point-of-view of the movie.
