Watched UP with my mom, and she didn't cry once. Same thing happened with WALL-E, too! She has no soul.
Grew up with Disney and became very critical about the company and its products. Went to art college in order to fine tune my design sensibility. Ended up not being able to appreciate anything entertaining anymore because of the course's strong emphasis on concept. Or so I would tell you guys about myself here on Spill.com.

For those that cannot wait for the soundtrack’s official shelf release on Nov. 23, here’s two videos from two different performances of Tiana’s Showboat Jubilee from Disneyland.
With all this talk about Black Friday on the news and how Wal-Mart is going to try to prevent its yearly death knell (good luck, I say), a co-worker of mine was asking me the other day about Black Friday at the movies. I gave him the basic rundown on what usually happens. It’s not as bad as you would think. The day after Christmas, however, is a different story.
Well, it's award season again. At least for a select number of movie theatre locations out there. And as such, I thought I'd let you in on a little bit of behind-the-scenes magic on how the Golden Globes and Oscars are voted on the local level. Whether or not this information has any kind of effect on the actual results the night of those award shows is beyond my knowledge, but I'm sure you guys will find this information interesting.
During awards season, what do you guys do at the theat… Continue

Zeek, give your Mom a break. Some folks just don't cry at movies. For them its just a movie. But dang.. she's got a strong will, it took everything I had not to ball like a baby during the begining of Up.
Not really. There's no real dividing line for the beginning of the Christmas Season over here. Although, apparently putting up lights earlier than November 1st is concidered too early.
If you're not going into metal working, then the ability to weld is kinda irrelevant. You don't want to include anything in the portfolio that doesn't have anything to do with your major. Then it just looks sporadic. You don't want to say "I'm a Jack of all trades, but master of none." You want to say "this is what I shine at".

I dunno...when you said it was impossible to figure out what ethnicity you were I just started going for random.
Well, stage fright is the majority of it, but that's not the only reason some people avoid karaoke. I've found that there is a tendancy among people who have never really experienced karaoke to look down on it as being too geeky or just plain dumb. Also the way in which the activity is portrayed tends to be a bunch of (usually drunk) guys making fools of themselves (usually in a bar) which also turns people off.
I'm really not sure. It may have to do with the evolution of karaoke in that by the time karaoke was introduced to the US, it was already almost fully realized as an activity, whereas in Japan, it evolved along with the culture.
At least, that's what I think. Karaoke in itself is hard to start, but is very enjoyable once you get past the first mental block.
Ah, the famous Precious. (The full title is Precious: Based on the Novel 'Push' by Sapphire, but who's going to say all that?) This movie came out of nowhere and has become one of the most talked-about movies of the year. It was an independent f...
