I can appreciate unrealistic movies, as long as they are entertaining. Wanted was not. The only parts I liked was the keyboard smack and Morgan Freeman's line. Other than that, the movie had too many Deus Ex Machinas for me too like or take it seriously, even within the context of its own craziness, and LAZY writing.
Wanted was indeed an awful movie. Its action had no basis in reality, the plot was insane at best, and its writing was the epitome of "Throw in as many F-bombs as possible, whether or not such vocabulary reflects accurately of the characters, cause it makes us look cool to the pimple-faced teens."
The Wanted movie's only real lasting contribution is hearing Morgan Freeman say "Shoot this mother****er here."
I know its all bullwack but to even speculate about Will Smith being the Cap is dumb. It would be really cool if they found an Unknown to play the part rather then just pick a well known from the celebrity hat.
I used to have every single toy made from the first three films, the lunchboxes, etc, etc. It's hard to separate the love for the good ones from your head long enough to see just how bad the prequels really are. I understand that perfectly. It all flashy lights and whiz-bang colors but no good characters or story development other than what was already established from the original films. One of the hardest things I ever had to come to terms with as a movie fan was that George Lucas...he ain't one of us. It was ALWAYS just about the money for him.
Hate to break it to you Zach, but nowadays, MOST people hate Star Wars Episode 1. Why? Because it's one of the dumbest, most obvious "cash-in" films ever made. Sorry. Believe me, it ain't just me. Not by a longshot.

I have to put the "4th kind " on the top of my list for the scariest movie. In the review it said it was fake footage. I would like to know how the author knew it was fake. With every ounce of my being, I hope it is fake. I saw a review on u-tube ...

I wasn't sure if I wanted to see this movie but I'll rent the first one and give this one a try in a week or two after the crowds die down a bit!
