Sorry for not replying back, we used to get not so censored anime titles in Arabic countries during the 80's (no nudity wasn't a big loss for me since I watched them because of plot/character not fanservice) but then with the arrival of company known as Venus, they've censoring everything even stuff that doesn't clash with Islamic faith. Then I got to watch European and turkish channels that showed anime on my satalite dish that were shown unedited I might add, then I watched anime and read more manga thanks to the internet since we don't get much manga in Egypt. Now that I live in the UK, this stuff is more accessible.

As for comics, I used read comics when I was living as kid in the UK, then when my family moved to Egypt, we had lots of comics like superman and spiderman that can be found on the newspaper stands, superman comics published from Saudi Arabia used to consist of DC comics from the golden and silver ages as well as the 80's and 90's. Also Arabic translations of Disney comics are quite popular, so were Tin Tin comics that actually kept the alcoholic content intact. Now I'm back in the UK, DC and Marvel comics are more accesible.
