Secondly, I came to your page based on your summation about a potential Justice League movie. I agree with your points completely about the geographic disparity of the League membership as well as the iconic status of the characters being a detriment. you're also correct in that Dc badly needs a breakout movie to launch the franchise. Nolan's Batman trilogy is too insular and self-contained to do it. Superman Returns was too dependent on following up Donner/Lester's Superman II, and Green Lantern was a critical and commercial failure. man of Steel might get the wheels rolling, but without a plan for follow-through, I don't see things working out nearly as smoothly for Dc as things have for Marvel. Also, the cynic in me doesn't believe Man of Steel will succeed. (I don't like Zack Snyder's movies very much.)
