First off, I do think you make a good point. Some of the "OMG it's a lady!!" stuff actually annoyed me quite a bit too and I found my eyes rolling back into my head three or four times during the recording.
However, please bear in mind that all of the League, even Jason and I, are too some extent utilizing "personas" and act in character (to about the same extent an improvisational actor does). In real life none of the guys would ever act that way in real life anymore than I would be as acerbic or rude as my "character" sometimes is. For instance, I pretend to have a lot of disdain for co-host. In real life we hang out quite often and are pretty good friends. Not that that would stop me from interrupting him if he ever told a rambling ass recap like the one he did.
As far as Co-Host-his synopsis was rambling and effed up-on purpose. The interruptions were intended as jokes. Maybe we should have done a real synopsis of the issue in question but it wouldn't have been all that funny and that's pretty much the main thing we are about. If the guy who played co-host was seriously trying to explain the issue in question he could have done so in a snap and it would have taken a few minutes at best (shit, I could have summed it up in about a minute and a half with nary a mention of "vagina"). It just wouldn't have been very funny. Maybe we should have just summarized the thing but having co-host on is always an opportunity for hijinks and potshots so that is the direction we went. Maybe to our detriment but I think it went pretty well despite people seeming to have a hard time suspending their disbelief that no harm was intended (or really accomplished). Still, I am sorry you were annoyed. But hey, you can't please everybody and LEOG will never make a point of trying to please everybody...or anybody really, except us.
As far as RR, her schedule freed up and we had been promising her as a guest for a while. Just coincidence. I'm sorry you didn't feel she had much to offer although I do respectfully disagree just as you have been just as respectfully disagreeing. I am very glad you didn't fall into the trap of calling her a bitch (and I'm also impressed by the fact that you were annoyed by her "sexist" treatment by the league members-even though that was a joke).
Comedy is subjective and given this episode and given our personas and the lack of topic knowledge of our guest I guess some of this episodes jokes fell flat for some people-and I'll more than happily point and laugh at those people. But please don't feel that "comments on the actual Spill.com LEOG podcasts are just going to be pointless" because we crack wise and occasionally make light of any gravitas people lend to us. We really REALLY appreciate your comments and they do make an impact on our thoughts and practices.
We just don't like to admit it.
And if you tell anybody about this I'll kill you. Do you hear me? You and that damned robot.
