It's hard to say since, nearly every one that I have given a ton of credit to has ended up disappointing me big time at one point or another. I had so much hope for you Richard Kelly!!!!
I think the problem that i have with the English-made shows having subtitles, is that it's the "Prime-time" shows that seem to do it more than anything else. Shows like "Skins" and "Occupation" were the two that I noticed it on first. But they were highly advertised shows that were shown during "prime-time" hours. But, the shows that were on during the day, or "Kids shows" never had the subtitles. Now, I admit that having the "translation" for some slang pop-up is understandable because we might not know the slang's meaning. But really, to have the EXACT words just spoken pop up on the screen? I was blown away the first time I saw it.
Oh, but don't you understand. See, in the Spanish-speaking countries they don't need to have English subtitles because it's assumed you actually KNOW Spanish or you wouldn't be listening to the show. But here in America, God forbid we OFFEND you and provide something you might not be able to understand, so we offer you subtitles. Hell, you want to know how BAD it is in America now? We have subtitles on BBC-America from time to time. That's right, a show made in England with English-speaking actors will have English Subtitles when they show it on American TV now. How stupid do they think we are?
Dude, Michael is totally a dick. I figured the producers were getting him to talk shit about Kevin to put him in a different light and brace us for Kevin possibly getting the boot. But luckily just the opposite happened. Kevin is such a badass. He is modest, smart and clean and simple with his food. I also really like Bryan. He is a class act and his food resembles that. I am glad Jen is doing better and it did seem pretty clear from the first few episodes that these would be the big four.
Good Riddance Eli!
LOL, I know what you mean. First time I saw it I was creeped out too. Then I saved it to use against Serji the Squid, but since he left, it's up to the "Cupcake". =)
Happiness is difficult to define and even harder to measure. We experience it as a combination of elements, in the same way that one wheel or spring inside a watch doesn't keep time - it is a result of the synchronicity of the whole. As a relative...
Congratulations, you bitchy Evangelion fanboys, you got your movie. Evangelion 1.0 is probably one of the most faithful movie adaptations you'll ever get (or at least one you'll bitch the least about). It follows the original story, makes no dras...

For your reward of such hard detective work, enjoy. =)
And the only problem with Spanish-TV, is that I can't understand a single thing they say. But sometimes, the volume doesn't need to be on anyway. =)
