The Austin Spill Party 2009 is coming along nicely. I've already got a few things in the works. Now all I need is an idea about how many people will be there.
When we sleep. . .film. When we eat. . .film. When we think about how cool it is that the motto of our state is "Everything is bigger in Texas". . . .we are actually thinking about film.
All Time Favorite Movies:
The Human Tornado - Best drug freakout scene ever!
Walt Disney's Pinocchio - From an artistic standpoint, this is one of the best animated film's in history. From the animators to the technicians, these people did by hand what a lot of artists wouldn't touch without computers.
Texas Chainsaw Massacre - Freaked me the hell out! And for a slasher film there really isn't that much blood. Seriously, watch it again.
Shadow of a Doubt - One of Hitchcock's more underrated films. Suspenseful but funny. Also kind of crepy how it hints at incest.
City of God - One of those rare movies I watched and said "Now THAT is what filmmaking is all about!"
All Time Worst Movies:
National Lampoon's Van Wilder - There's a scene involving dog semen and a cream filled pastry. That should say it all.
Freddy Got Fingered - Honestly, can ANYONE take an hour and a half of Tom Green acting like a f***king idiot? Although this movie does have one of the funniest shower scenes I've ever seen.
Soul Plane - At a time when black people we're making great leaps forward in cinema, this almost took all those leaps back.
Bewitched - Pointless.
Prince's Under the Cherry Moon - That's right, written, directed, and starring his purple badness. You'll never hear him (or anyone else) ever mention this movie - all for good reason. Some of the worst acting you'll ever see. Trust me, there's a reason Prince is a musician. And it should stay that way.

The League of Extremely Ordinary Gentlemen, Volume 3 Issue 12: Thanksgiving and Books without Pictures
The League gives thanks for a good year and talks about our favorite novels and writers. And yes, it does occasionally degrade into comics talk. We can't help ourselves.

Hello, I remember on a past CoCo that you guys would be archiving the audio reviews / shows. Is this true? It be awesome to actually be able to search for the audio reviews, then searching through tags. Please please!
Watching the sequel to Twilight, New Moon, is like looking into a dark, scary vortex. Not because the movie is scary or the director creates a compelling mood or the characters are particularly creepy (at least in the way intended). Heavens, no. I...
