i really loved his take on the story, and the mixing between score and cinematography was beautiful. I was shocked that the soundtrack for robin hood wasnt nominated for an academy award, because even if you dont liked the movie the soundtrack was great.

And i heard interviews with Brian Grazer where he said that they let Rildey do whatever he wanted with the movie since they were out for his version of the story. So i have heard the opposite that Robin Hood wasnt driven by the studio but it was driven by russell crowe and rildey scott together, i have seen several interviews that confirmed it.
