And anything Ellis does is at least worth a look. If you haven't already you should pick up his Planetary graphic novels and the whole run of Transmetropolitan.
Whedon's Astonishing X-Men is pretty much a love-letter to the Chris Claremont years of the book and probably doesn't really hold much weight to readers who weren't following the title back then.
So far all I saw of Doll House was the one little teaser scene with Faith and Halo. Not enough to really judge it by. Is there something else out there now? I haven't watched anything from Fringe yet but I am a big fan of Abrams who wrote a lot of Lost and Alias. True, Transformers sucked but they were just filling an order placed by Michael Bay so...
If you've heard that they are supposedly in development, then it sounds like you know about as much as I do. The last place I saw updating any info on it was the Farscape wikipedia page.
