I'm afraid you're a little late to the party on the Marvel vs DC stuff. It is freaking hysterical though, isn't it?

I'm not sure either about the whole Carlyle being married thing myself. He is a man of mystery who drapes himself in a shroud of unknown. I think that's why alot of gals think he's so hot! I know that's why I like him, oh and I love him for his brain too!

Hometown:
Trenton, Ontario, Canada
About Me:
Classic Movies, Video Games, Tea Dogs, books, Princess Hours t.v. series
All Time Favorite Movies:
-Anything with Audrey Hepburn, Grace Kelly, or Lucille Ball. I'm also a fan of the British detective genre.
-13 Going on 30 (Jennifer Garner is amazing)
-101 Dalmatians (animated and live action)
-102 Dalmatians
- Alice In Wonderland
-Anastasia
- Anthony Trollope's The Way We Live Now (BBC-Another suspense filled period drama that is highly recommended)
-Aquamarine (This movie only works because of Paxton and she will go far in the acting world. Roberts is a very poor actress and only gets roles because of her famous aunt. Don't believe me, check out the bomb "Spymate" for proof.)
-The Aristocats (I love these cute cats esp. Marie)
-Ballistic: Ecks Vs. Sever (Lucy Liu is amazing in this movie)
-Beauty and the Beast
-Bishôjo Senshi Sailor Moon: Special Act (It is interesting to see how the TV show's version of what happens to the girls matches up with the original manga. Highlights:
-Seeing Mio (Alisa Durbrow)as the head evil woman instead of second in command.
-Ami (Rika/Chisaki Hama) speaking very broken English but somehow finds a portal between Japan and the U.S. thus allowing her to meet up with the other girls.
-The poor generals end up looking like clowns. Even their leader Mamoru Chiba
(Jyoji Shibue)believes that they are clowns!
-Minako Aino (Ayaka Komatsu)kicking bad guy's behinds.)
-Bleak House (The more recent Gillian Anderson. All the actors managed to take a depressing story and make it shine!)
-Bride and Prejudice
-Buccaneers, The (BBC miniseries-A surprise at the end, which I wouldn't have ended it that way, and an amazing cast keeps you at the edge of your seat!)
-Cadet Kelly (Ok, for a t.v. movie. It is much better than the crud that is "High School Musical". I love the song by Super Chic[k]! )
-Cats & Dogs (one of the best live action animal movies out there, it is a shame that people seem to have forgotten about it)
-Cat From Outer Space
- Charade (A really enjoyable Hepburn/ Grant movie. This is my favourite Grant movie followed by "To Catch a Thief")
-Charlie's Angels (Lucy Liu is great as always)
-Cheaper by the Dozen (a great family friendly movie)
-Cheaper by the Dozen 2 (not as good as the original but filmed near my house. Hilary Duff looks like a skeleton in this movie)
-The Cheetah Girls (although the girls are young in this movie, they show that they have great talent)
-The Cheetah Girls 2 (better than the first one as the girls do more singing but unlike High School Musical, they are talented and smart)
-Cinderella
-Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen (Not as good as "Mean Girls" but this movie was practice for that movie. It was a bit far fetched that Lindsay's rival and her friends would show up to a public school wearing clothing that costs more than a year at university. Alison Pill was amazing and I hope we will see more of her in the future. One thing I don't want to see again is Lindsay's pink pants from the "Eliza Rocks" part. They were way too far down for a Disney movie! )
-Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (Michelle Yeoh and Ziyi Zhang are amazing together! They would re-team in Memoirs of a Geisha and there are rumours that they may star in Mulan)
-The Devil Wears Prada (This movie applies to people outside of the fashion industry too. Since I have had a boss like Miranda Priestly, I can fully understand how difficult it is to work under those conditions.)
-Dr. Dolittle 1 (I love Rodney the hamster in this movie)
-Dr. Dolittle 2 (Raven is great in this movie)
-Dr. Dolittle 3 (There is only two of the original cast members in this moive)
-Dreamgirls (Beyonce did not have to act in this one, she really is a Diva in real life. Jennifer Hudson should have gotten a Best Actress, not Best Supporting Actress, for her role! I hope we will see her for years to come.)
- Hero (Although Zhang Ziyi does not have as big of a role as I would have liked, the story is still good. It is a nice visual movie.)
-Hoodwinked (I love the fact that it takes a well known story and develops it into an interesting mystery. The voice acting is great and the characters are cute.)
- House of Flying Daggers (Zhang Ziyi shows that she can fight and dance with the best of them. The dancing scene and clothing are very beautiful)
-How to Steal a Million (Peter O'Toole and Audrey Hepburn! Classic!)
- Eloise at Christmastime (A cute family friendly movie.)
- Eloise at the Plaza
-Emma (The only Gwyneth Paltrow movie that I have seen and loved. The rest of her movies are not that good.)
-Fancy Pants
-Funny Face
-Green Mansions
-How to Steal a Million
-Ice Princess
-Jane Eyre (BBC-Timothy Dalton version)
- Just My Luck (Not as good as previous films. It relies too much on 'luck' and not enough on its talented performers.)
-Kate and Leopold
-Lady and the Tramp
- Life-Size (Although it has some flaws in it, Lindsay does a great job.)
-The Lizzie McGuire Movie (One of the better Hilary Duff movies, although I cannot help feeling that it is a 'modern' take on "Roman Holiday" which is much, much, much better)
-Lovewrecked
-Material Girls (It's ok, but not great. It's funny to see Brent Spiner, Data from Star Trek fame, doing an accent. It is similar to "Cow Belles" a Disney T.V. movie.)
-Mean Girls (Sad but true story about what really happens at school and not just in high school. Rachel McAdams does a great job as the rival and Lindsay Lohan does a great job as the naive but smart Cady. A great movie for parents to talk about with their pre-teens and teens! )
- Memoirs of a Geisha (In addition to being a visually beautiful movie, it is proof that Ziyi Zhang is more that capable of being the main star of the movie. This is one of the best novel to movie adaptions in a long time.)
-Mulan
-My Fair Lady
-My Favorite Martian
- Night at the Museum (It's great to see Ben Stiller using his talent in a clean way. Too bad he does not do roles like this everyday.)
- Paris When It Sizzles (Mr. Holden looked too old for Hepburn in this movie. I thought that it was nice none the less. Disappointed that the DVD had no special features. )
-Pollyanna (Amazing, the way movies should be made!)
-Pride and Prejudice (The BBC version. The more recent version does not include enough detail or good performances. One of the only movies that is worth paying full price.).
-Princess Diaries 1 & 2
-Queen, The
-Relative Values (Not as funny as the "Princess Diaries" but a great movie. Amazing Julie Andrews is in her element, as is Stephen Fry revisiting his role of the head servant.)
-Return to Halloweentown
-Robin and Marian
-Rodgers & Hammerstein's Cinderella (Really great combination of Whitney and Brandy! I really hope they will release it on DVD.)
- Roman Holiday (Audrey deserved that Oscar she won for this movie! One of my favourite movies ever!)
-Sabrina (Sep 09, 1954 version)
- Sailor Moon R the Movie: Promise of the Rose (Yeah, the story of Mamoru's past. I thought it was odd that they made his friend from the past look identical to the Doom Tree aliens.)
- Sailor Moon S the Movie: Hearts in Ice (My favourite of the Sailor Moon movies. Poor Luna, she does not know how much she is loved by Artemis.)
- Sailor Moon Super S the Movie: Black Dream Hole (Not as good as Sailor Moon S. It's still cute but I wish there was less of Chibi Moon!!)
-Sakura Wars
-Sense and Sensibility (My favourite movie version of the novel. This is the only movie I have seen in which Kate Winslet is good. Emma Thompson deserved her Oscar and the movie should have earned a ton more.)
-Sky High
- Summer Magic (I was not keen on the "Ugly Bug Ball" song and the ending was cut short. Despite these facts, this is a great movie!)
-Sweet Home Alabama (Not as good as some of Reese Witherspoon's other movies but it is still sweet.)
-Swiss Family Robinson
-Sydney White
-That Darn Cat! (1965 version)
- The Buccaneers
- The Court Jester (Danny Kaye is beyond words in this movie!!! It is the top comedy movie in my books. I loved all the clothing, esp. Angela Lansbury's dresses!)
- The Inspector General (It is not as good as some of his other movies like "Court Jester" but it is still good. It is still ten times better than half the other stuff out there!)
- The Kid from Brooklyn (This movie proves what great shape that Danny Kaye was in and that he can do physical as well as verbal comedy. The 'twist' at the end is great too.)
-The Nun's Story
-The Parent Trap (One of the really rare times when the remake is as good as the original. Lindsay Lohan is so talented, I wish she would stop selling herself short such as I Know Who Killed Me)
- Parent Trap II (Not as good as the original Parent Trap although it is nice to see Ms. Mills acting again. I think her daughter and her friend were too young to be talking about boys!)
-There's No Business Like Show Business
-The Crimson Pirate
-The Perfect Man (Better than "Raise Your Voice", it is still rather predictable. It also has a made for t.v. movie like feeling about it.)
- The Secret Life of Walter Mitty (Danny Kaye is amazing! I cannot believe that they want to re-make this movie. If it is not broken, then don't fix it!)
-The Sound of Music
-The Trouble with Angels ( I loved this movie! One of my favourite of all times. Everyone should watch it once during their life time!!)
-The Unforgiven
-The Way We Live Now
-Twitches
-Twitches Too
-Walk the Line (Amazing! Witherspoon certainly earned her Oscar!! Well done.)
-Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit (Very cute! As my dad has problems with rabbits getting into his garden (and I love the rabbits so much) we both enjoy watching this film together! I hope they will do a Were-Rabbit 2!)
-Wallace & Gromit: The First Three Adventures
-War and Peace
-Wait Until Dark (A totally freaky character played by Alan Arkin is trying to get Audrey. Even though the plot sounds bad on paper, the acting is amazing and makes it such a good thriller.)
-Wendy Wu: Homecoming Warrior (This movie is proof that Disney can make good t.v. movies if they put the effort into it. Song proves that she can play much more than the dumb rich girl she usually plays. Here is hoping that they will make a follow up movie.)
-Where Angels Go, Trouble Follows (Not as good as "The Trouble with Angels" but it is still good. Rosland Russell is still amazing as Mother Superior!)
- White Christmas (This is a great movie! The cast is not only amazing but they have great chemistry! Mr. Crosby and Ms. Clooney have wonderful voices and the songs are great too. Everyone should watch this movie at least once during their life time!)
-Wives and Daughters (BBC Miniseries)
-Yours, Mine and Ours (This was such a good movie, it is no wonder that the re-make bombed, they did such a good job the first time that there was no way they could top it. If you want to know which version to watch, pick this one over the remake as you will have saved yourself time and money!)
All Time Worst Movies:
-Anything with Paris Hilton, Emma Roberts, Miley Ray Cyrus, or Vanessa Anne Hudgens in it.
-Bratz
-Daniel Deronda (Everything was well until the very end. It was a huge disappointment!)
-George of the Jungle 2 (none of the original cast members from the first one)
-Little Mermaid II: Return to the Sea (If they were going to do a live action version, Emma Roberts would play Ariel's daughter because she is the only one with the same level of annoying people!)
-Spymate
Favorite Actors or Actresses:
Classic Hollywood
Audrey Hepburn, Grace Kelly, Lucy Ball, Danny Kaye, Julie Andrews, Humphrey Bogart, Dick Van Dyke, Bing Crosby, Rosemary Clooney, Vera-Ellen, Rosalind Russell, Judy Garland, Basil Rathbone

New Hollywood
Ziyi Zhang, Michelle Yeoh, Alexis Bledel, Emma Thompson, Anne Hathaway, Raven, Jennifer Garner, Lindsay Lohan, Amanda Bynes, Lucy Liu, Hayley Mills, Ashley Tisdale, Brenda Song, Sandra Bullock, America Ferrera, Natalie Portman,

-Blackadder (BBC)
-CardCaptor Sakura (anime)
-Gilmore Girls
-Keeping Up Apperances (BBC)
-Magic Knights Rayearth (anime)
-Palace (a.k.a. Goong or Princess Hours). It is a Korean drama with a lot of heart and wonderful acting.
-Pretear (anime)
-Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon
-Sailor Moon (animated series)
-Sakura Wars (anime)
-Sugar, A Tiny Snow Fairy (anime)
-To the Manor Born (BBC)

Stars and Their Behaviour.

I wish that more young stars would follow the example set by Miss Duff and be responsible. I could not imagine what it would be like for the brothers and sisters of these young stars (who take either racy or naked pictures) and be constantly forced to remember these incidents. I expect that they feel badly about who they are and what they accomplish because these pictures are always looming around them and people will always remember them as "so and so's brother or sister". Please remember stars… Continue

Prince Philip, Get Well Soon!

I'm a big fan of the English royal family. This was posted on one of the blogs that I regularly read. If it is true, then I wish that Prince Philip will make a full recovery!

"Britain's Prince Philip, the husband of Queen Elizabeth and grandpa to Harry and William, was hospitalized on Friday with a chest infection.

The 86-year-old prince was taken to King Edward VII's Hospital in London for assessment and all of his weekend engagements have been canceled.

No further details were available. G… Continue
