e gives woman a choice. I am a strong Christian so I hate abortion but I believe God gave us free will.
By the logic you used here, God also gave us the right to freely decide whether we will kill grown adults. That's a valid point, he did give us this right to choose whether or not we want to kill people, however do you believe political figures and laws should protect a right to kill?
I would label myself agnostic- I do not believe in the bible, so the issue of abortion is not a religious one for me. Many people want to characterize a baby as nothing more than a clump of cells before it is born. Do you believe that a fetus is a clump of cells? As a chemists I see everything as a clump of atoms-->cells. I would say that you and I are a collection of walking, and talking cells. However, there is something special to those cells, something not fully understood, the capacity to think-->life.
Look up for yourself The Right to Life act which Obama voted against 4 times because he said it would force a mother to keep her child and infringe upon her rights to choose. Basically Mr. Obama, who I admire on all levels except the issue of abortion, voted against a bill that would allow physicians to aid a botched abortion baby deemed not viable. Guess who makes the call on viability, The abortionist. Of course, this is a conflict of interest, the abortionist has to say he made a mistake and accept any malpractice penalties, and push the baby off on a mother who didn't want it in the first place, or just let the baby die. Which do you think he/she is going to choose? I would not say that Obama supports infanticide, but I would say that he is willing to let botched abortion babies die. That is unacceptable, and I have already voted McCain Palin. If it were not for this issue, I would have voted for Obama- go ahead and sluff it off - its not as important as taxes, or healthcare I guess, afterall its just killing babies.
For me, I love the visuals and the great acting by Jackie Earl Haley, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, and Patrick Wilson. There are other reasons, but these are the ones that stick out the most for me.
