"Rise of the Planet of the Apes" sequel is titled and due for 2014 release. Thoughts?
As a huge fan of the original Planet of the Apes movies, I was impressed how enjoyable Rise of the Planet of the Apes was and I think Rupert Wyatt and Andy Serkis both did a phenomenal job with the movie. A sequel "Dawn of the Planet of the Apes" is due in 2014. For me, the title is serviceable enough but why shouldn't a dawn occur before a rise. And it's awfully similar to Dawn of the Dead.
