As I write this I find myself dumbfounded on where to even begin describing my experience with “Scott Pilgrim vs. The World”. Dumbfounded not as to whether or not the film is good but rather how Hollywood can make awful films out of any exaggerated anime, comic book or video game based property and yet produce a film containing nearly all of these elements to create one of the best films of the year.
The tale of Scott…

Quite a few of you (or maybe just one very persistent person) have sent me a link to a site called Squall’s Dead, which posits a fairly well-reasoned argument that, well, Squall dies when he attacks the Sorceress Edea on her parade float. In that scene, she impales him with a roughly four-foot long spear of ice through the chest– an injury it seems unlikely anyone could survive. Indeed, I raised the bullshit flag when, in the next scene, Squall awakens in some mobile, drill-shaped Galbadian prison hale, hearty, and with nary a scratch on him. At some point, I guess I just had to let it go, because we’re talking about a world where Curagas and Phoenix Downs exist specifically to raise the dead.
But anyway, the argument suggests that nearly everything following Squall’s mortal wound is a fevered dream as his consciousness slowly loses its grip on memory and reason. The first argument is that, from that scene on, the game doesn’t make any fucking sense whatsoever, from the Sorceress’ bullshit nonsense “time compression” plan, to the mass-amnesia that caused every main character to conveniently forget that they spent their entire childhoods together in the same orphanage. I have to admire the somewhat circular logic: the story is complete rambling, frothing-at-the-mouth idiocy, because it’s the product of a nightmare in Squall’s rapidly-deteriorating-to-braindead mind.
i havent seen kick ass yet and its been some trouble trying to get a hold of the comic, even worse i havent finished watching Halo: Legends (i still have to watch origins 2 and Odd One Out) so far its kind of Meh. there are good parts but the others are kind of boring and filled with clieche anime stuff that i kind of grew out of.it was still decent though
on the other hand check out a series called "Ergo Proxy" its an anime thats a bit more mature but it feels more like a sci-fi future that seems feasible. its based heavily on the emotional state of the characters
lastly check out some series called
Yu Yu Hakusho Abridged
TFS Dragon Ball Z Abridged
Yu Yu Hakusho Abridged PolterGeist Report (the movie sucked but the abridged version is funnier and has the same plot)
he is now called Ron P, it might be a good idea to catch up with some other people, just a thought

here is the first vid
also dante's inferno the movie is about as good as the game its okay but not very good its somthing for a rainy day for a lack of better words. i bring that up because it relates to the halo movie in the sense that there are 6 different artist one for each level of hell, they screw it up however when they start skipping out on important parts of the game like how he got his scythe by killing death is changed to he skilled a demon and took his weapon overall a decent movie however
