Behind the Times - Hot Tub Time Machine Review

A common denominator among most people is that warm fuzzy feeling that nostalgia, the longing for the "great times" of our past, brings us. It's almost as warm and fuzzy as the feeling you get after a massively long bong hit, or after drinking a pint of your favorite Tequila. Or, after watching a great throw-back comedy like "Hot Tub Time Machine" (HTTM).HTTM mines every last ounce of the aforementioned nostalgia anyone who lived through the 80's has, pushing themselves right up to the limit,…See More

Trailer Reviewing - Are You Serious....

I feel like I should point out at the beginning of this that writing blogs isn't really my thing. I love coming to Spill (which I do primarily during work) and listening to hilarious reviews/podcasts and also reading other people's interesting thoughts, comments, etc. However, blogging or writing up personal opinions isn't really my thing - I prefer to bitch and complain to my friends, in person.Still, a trend has occurred recently (or at least, I've noticed it in far greater frequency) where…See More

If it was the article that I read, the ratings for Warehouse 13 were high for the "season opener", but have been falling every week since then. It had a good start for it's first season, but couldn't hold onto the audience as the weeks went on. For now, it's one of their "key shows", but that doesn't really say much when you look at their overall line-up.

True, the "over exposure" prior to the movie coming out was a bit too much. But at the same time that was the Marketing department, and not really James Cameron's doing.

I don't know. I guess my main problem is that people seemed to be geared up to hate the movie when the first trailer hit, and have refused to acknowledge that the movie was exactly what you were going to get from James Cameron all along... An enjoyable film, that isn't going to be looking to set new ways of telling a story or changing the methods of how a movie is written, but instead changing the way that a movie is visually shown to audiences in the future. Did Avatar do that? I don't know. It depends on if the technology to film the movie becomes a standard. But when knowing you'll get that type of movie, James Cameron exceeded my expectations and the expectations of a lot of people. Except of course, the people that just wanted to hate the movie since the first trailer.

Hi :)
I just read the comment you left in Cyrus' review of Reaper, where you mentioned that the CW doesn't do much when it comes to Supernatural.
On Space, Canada's sci-fi channel, they did awesome jobs advertising the show when it was a new episode, so I totally made sure I watched it.
LOL I shouldn't say that, since I slept through the season finale.
Oh well, another reason to buy it when the season is out on DVD :)
