How big of a problem is overexsposure in film?

I'm a cautious person. If I put my money forward to anything, be it comics, movies, games, or other, I know exactly what I'm paying for. And who can blame me? Games are 60 bucks a pop, and if I walk into a comic shop and walk out $20 lighter, I want to be sure I'm not carrying a stinker along with my regular books. I know what you mean. Hell as it is, there's still about 15 or so movies that just STINK before I get to Iron Man, and that was the "start" of the summer. So there's tons of things to "counter" the "Dark Knight" appeal. Especially when the Twilight movie MADE the top 10 movies of 2008. lol
