It's still consumer oriented but if you've seen the footage floating around online, it really compares to those pro camcorders out there. Sony HDR-HC7 is also a very good competitor. A little more expensive than the HV20. If you want the large, pro stuff, you can try looking into Canon GL2 or GL1, Panasonic AG-DVX100 (a or b version), and Sony VX2100 or VX2000. Some of these can be found on ebay for less than $2000 depending on timing, but they're most likely used or refurbished. Any of the new ones will mostly be at least $2000.
