I hear you about animated films being deficient on story. I LOVE "Toy Story" (#2 even More so!) & "The Incredibles". To name a few animated films WITH a good story *imho* have you seen:
"The Iron Giant"
"Up!"
"Meet the Robinsons"
the french film "Renaissance"
the japanese animated films:
"The Grave of the Fireflies"
more japanese animated films:
"Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind"
"Princess Mononoke"
"Laputa Castle in the Sky"
"Spirited Away"
"Akira"
"Ghost in the Shell"
Hope you get a chance to check these out, esp. "Grave of the Fireflies", I think you might like them.
Thanks for your time. (I'm smitten with Betty Page as well)
So are U a Tom Waits fan. Or just Panio song?

You are lucky to be seeing that movie...I live in Southern Massachcetts and i would have to travel over two hours to get to the theatre. It's not EVEN playing in Rhode Island at all...*sigh*how are you and how you see spill so far?
