Hollywood Really Hates Me

I passed by a movie theater today and checked out the posters. It looks like they've got a really interesting new movie showing that managed to slip under my radar. It's a western featuring the awesome talents of such veteran actors like Russel Crowe and Christian Bale and it's called... Ummmm... something to do with the time and some destination.... What was it again?

Oh yeah: Three Ten to Yuma

No wonder I haven't seen this movie released on DVD yet. I thought I had missed it and was waiting… Continue

Hollywood hates me?

District 9 looks so cool...

I say "looks so cool" because I haven't seen it yet. And I doubt I will get to see it for at least 3 months. Possibly an entire year.

In other news, Taken will hit the screens in Japan this weekend... I FINALLY get to see Liam Neeson kick some ass.

Sometimes, People Aren't Always Scum...

So, Bolt finally hit the theaters in Japan (nearly an entire year after the US release) and I went to go see it the other day. While I was at the theater waiting for them to open the doors, I made a visit to the men's room to expunge an uncomfortable sandwich I had consumed for lunch. 5 minutes after leaving the bathroom, I came to the realization that the familiar weight of my wallet on my right butt cheek was no longer there. Sensing a moment of panic, I rushed back to the facilities to the st… Continue

I totally got it and tried to give you a shout out in the chat section of the Lounge but I guess you signed off before it got to you.

I guess I'm just gonna have to drink this Kool-Aid after all.

Thanks man. I'm sure I'm going to enjoy it.

I now know what it's like for you to be sleep deprived. New Moon is kicking my ass, and now I can't stay up as late as I want to in order to listen to LEOG... or watch V on Hulu... or browse Amazon Wish Lists... or anything that isn't work.

Oustanding! We still need to hop on MW2, as well, which Randy and I both have.

We can get Jason to sing on Rock Band when we have Pearl Jam on, and he's not too shabby. Grant's pretty good too. We're doing karaoke for my birthday, so I suppose we'll find out everyone's chops then.

I'm on the mend, but my voice is still scratchy. We pushed the show I wanted to do something special for one more week, so hopefully everything will be okay by then.

HA! Friendly fire is definitely to be expected. Fortunately, your teammates can take a significant amount of bullets before going down. As for knowledge of the first game? NONE is required. Both of the L4D games stand alone and are pure, distilled gameplay. The simplicity is beautiful, really. The set up is this - you have 3 friends, a bunch of guns, and thousands of zombies. Run from A to B. Go! (It's surprisingly intense for such a bare bones premise.)

Well, crap. And here I thought you were just skinny. Now I feel inferior for being only 5' 6".

Your American clone walked into my theatre today. I knew it wasn't you, because he was unusually tall for being Asian. I'd guess close to 6' 3" if not 6' even. Then again, I knew it wasn't you because, heh, let's face it, what business would you have in Tennessee? XD

Thanks! :) To answer your question: Nope. Did a bit of theater in high school, and sang in some musicals there, but that's about it. And lots of Rock Band lately.

I have something special and musical planned for the show we'll be recording next week, however I REALLY hope I'm over this sinus infection by then. I sound like Carrie Fisher right now.

Go figure. Beau loves the soap opera crap like Buffy but doesn't dig LOST? Season 3's ending is pretty great but just wait.

Question: I am thinking of ditching my Wii and gettin a different System. PS3? or XBox360? What do you think?

Howdy! L4D2 is a pretty fantastic game. It's one you *definitely* have to play with friends, though. I picked it up on Tuesday and played through a few levels. Very challenging - much more so than the first one. I can heartily recommend it, but only with the caveat that you join Randy and I online for some necrocide.

You’re probably thinking, “What do you mean? Isn’t that why it’s called Sci-Fi?” Well, yes and no. The method in which science is woven into the storyline has much to do in determining to what degree true science plays a part in a movie. It may b...
