Will Toy Story 3 top Transformers 2 box office wise?

*All amounts are non-adjusted for inflation.  According to boxofficemojo.com, Toy Story 3 (I film that I enjoyed a lot) has earned approximately $350 million domestically in just 28 days. Compared to Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, which had earned approximately $367 million in 28 days, there's not that much difference, (approximately $17 million). So I was wondering; could Toy Story 3, when it finishes its run in theaters, pass Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen's domestic (non-adjusted)…See More

What makes a good movie?

Now I maybe young, but I love to talk about movies, almost to the point where I become obsessive. I like to put my two cents here and list some things that I think makes a good movie. I will be using examples from several films to help prove my point.I respect others' right to speak their minds, so feel free to add some more suggestions or post some stuff that you disagree with (just as long as they are not offensive). Here's what I think makes a good film:5) A good plot (or at least one that's…See More

Wow, that's a tough one. In a way, I almost don't want to answer that one. lol

I would have to say that Star Wars prequels were a good concept, with poor execution. But, Star Trek was a poor concept with good execution. It's hard to answer that one with just a simple pick of one title over another.

IN a way, it's probably easier to break it down. For the "concept" of character development and "connection to the original" I have to go with Star Wars.

For "simple characters" in a "adrenaline rush"? I would say Star Trek.

Here's the ironic part of my history and Watchmen. I read it when it first came out, and at the time thought it was good but never going to be called a "literary classic" that it is called today. lol

But yeah, Watchmen is something that is MUCH better read than it is as a film.

Okay, so you finally got to see Godfather. =)
Just remember when watching part 2. The "big plan" of the film is to get out of the Vegas-Mafia scene, so most of the movie's "crime element" is setting up "Legal business" in Cuba at that time (1950's), so it's pacing is a bit different than part 1. But the element of Michael's person life going further down the toilet is increased. =)

My biggest problem with Watchmen was that Snyder just HAD to put his touches all over it. Scenes weren't paced right, too much focus on aspects like fighting/sex, but less focus on character dilemmas. Music cues that were laughable. Characters that just couldn't act worth a crap, and still given horrible lines to say anyway. Plus, so much WAS CUT from the comic-book, that most of the "greatness" was left out. Small stuff that got left out of the movie were the things in the comic that set up exposition and explanation.

Oh, and yeah I really did like Slumdog. Even though there are a few scenes here and there that I think went more for "shock" then "story". But thought it was a good film overall.
