Hmm, I didn't have any problems with 'nostalgia blindness' from the prequels...it was pretty clear to me from the get-go that they sucked. As far as your attack on Indy IV, that nostalgia blindness works the other way as well. Let's face it: There was no way it was going to live up to your expectations. I didn't find it any more implausible or silly than the other sequels and it had a solid sense of fun, good comedic dialogue, terrific stunt work...Overall I thought it was one of the best of the sequels. I think that a second viewing might benefit you, not me.
