Hey!

I haven't posted in a long time, so I figured I'd start up again by talking about my favorite movie thus far in 2009, Star Trek. Amazing! I have only watched The New Gneration, so I wasn't privy to many of the references to the original series, like Bones saying "Damnit man, I'm a doctor!" I only know that one since I went with my bf and his sister who grew up watching the series. We went twice. I never go out to movies twice. It was just so much fun.

Lars and the Real Girl. Holy crap, such a good movie.

And for me this movie represents the new kind of movie that has become my favorite- it's hard to categorize...another example of this type of movie would be Juno.

The characters in these kinds of movies have relationships that are very unique but somehow, easy to relate to.

I just watched 3:10 to Yuma- one of the best westerns I have ever seen. I'm usually not too big of a fan of westerns- my fav is The Big Country starring Gregory Peck which is mostly about the clashing cultures of the Eastern and Western U.S.

OK so I am an avid reader and movie goer. And there is nothing I despise more than a bad movie remake of a perfectly good book.
