My Limited Top 10

Due to being poor and drowning in work, there was around a three month gap where I managed to not go to the cinema once. Nevertheless I saw a lot of damn fine movies, and I'll list my favourites here. 10: Brooklyn's FinestI'm a sucker for movies like this. Pride and Glory, Street Kings, all that good shit, and this is like the better version of those films. The way I saw it probably helped it, in a huge cinema with a table and a jack daniels. As thrillers go though, this one had a decent story,…See More

Lebanon Review by Matt 93

Fuck me. I may have just seen the most intense war film ever made. What I am pretty sure about, however, is that every other film this year is going to have to make one hell of an effort to stop this being the best film of 2010.Lebanon is the story of four Israeli soldiers who make up a tank crew, mobilized in the first 24 hours of the Lebanon War. The main perspective we follow is that of Shmulik, the rookie gunner who has never fired the tank's cannon in a war situation. His initial hesitancy…See More

I know we all hate remakes, but...

Ok, lets be honest here. Remakes really can go either way. Either they take a dump on the franchise or they revitalize it. There are some films out there that really need some kind of reboot. In these cases, like with last year's The Incredible Hulk, a director can take the best elements of a story and build on them. The following films in my opinion could be remade into absolute classics:The Bone CollectorAn intriguing story about a quadriplegic forensic inspector called in to help investigate…See More

The Top 5 of 2009 so far

There are a glut of films coming out in the next half of 2009, and I can't wait for some of them. The new Harry Potter movie, Imaginarium Of Dr Parnassus, Bruno, The Hurt Locker, Up (which hasn't come out in the UK yet), and more that I'll list at the end. But so far, at least in my opinion, only six or seven films have been worth a damn this year. I have compiled a top five, really a rough top five, but one that I want to post. This will probably change in a few months, so I will be curious to… Continue

Terminator Salvation Review by Matt 93

>I'm going to be honest here. I had no idea what to expect with this movie. Its a completely different film to the previous trilogy, so what made those movies good might not work as well here in what is essentially a war movie. I went into the theatre blind, which I suppose gave me an element of impartiality.

Just to quickly sum up how I felt about the previous three films, I don't really have any major complaints. The first film is an undeniable classic of modern science fiction,… Continue

Hey dude, sorry I didn't get back back to you sooner. I have been a little distracted between work, my PS3 & housework. Answer to your question: I did in fact watch Iron Man 2, I thought it was pretty good. I picked up bolth Red Dead Redemption & Modnation Racers for my PS3 & they are bolth extremely awesome games. Work has been bolth fucked up & fucked up beyond anything else, my Chinese co-worker tried to fuck'n kill me late last week. All I did was try to start a friendly conversation, he told me to "Shut Up" I then asked him "why"? & he told me " Because your annoying"!! he then told me to get out of the gas bar (the problem is that I'm the one that's in charge of him, while my boss was in the main building getting supplies) I told him "NO!, I'm in charge here & you have no reason to tell me to shut up, it's a free country I can say whatever I want". he then told me "to get out" one last time I then said "Fuck you Jack!" (that's the retards canadian name, his Chinese name is Chang Cheung Chang or something like that) he then asked me (I'm going to laugh at this the rest of my life)"You want to fuck..me?" (like as if he thought I wanted to make love to him..LOL) he then jumped me put his hands around my neck. I then smacked his hands off to the side & tossed him across the gas bar (like a rag doll) he then went & called our boss at the store, she came over took him into the back talked to him, then she out & talked to me & asked me what hapened. I told her everything & told her that I accidently spat out "Fuck !" at him, she then called the store for the head manager to come over & settle this problem. Half an hour Jack(ass) got kicked off the property until everything can be figured out. i 'll tell you this everybody else that work's in the (Safeway) gas bar hates the fuck out of Jack mostly because he's a lazy shit (he reminds me of a department store manikin).

That's awesome that your tree is up already. Mine on the other won't be put up until next Tuesday (we have contractors working in my family's living room from now until Tuesday morning). I finished my Christmas shopping last night (I got my brother the rest of his secret Santa gift I got him a $10 gift certificate from EB games alongside with on of those Sham Wow's) & in the meentime I almost got trampled by a crapload of other shoppers, Security guards, teenagers & even fuck'n Soccer Mom's! I kid you fuck'n not they were coming at me like a battalion of Military Marine's! I caught my hometown mall's Santa sleeping while sitting in his sleigh yesterday while two little kids were coming up & get there photo's taken with him, when these two little kids sat on his lap he looked like he was going to have a heart attack, but it was extremely funny what he yelled out when those toddlers sat down on his lap, he yelled "Holy Crap!!" LOL. It was cold as shit outside this last week. The coldest it got was at least -44 degrees celcius with a wind chill making it about roughly -53 (Holy fuck'n crap in a hat!). So what do you think of the Movie theatres jakking up the prices just to go see a freak'n movie? (if they keep on increasing the amount for you & I to go see a motion picture then in a few years it will probley become just about the same amount as buying a new released dvd or Blu ray!). There is one game that's coming to the Wii later next month (01/26/10) that I want so god damn badly! It's called "Tatsunoko v.s. Capcom: Ultimate all-stars". When I get it i'm going to try to get the collector's edition of the game, which comes with allsorts of kick ass stuff including a arcade fighting controller exclusively to the Wii (considering it's color's are white & baby blue). Anyway i'll talk to you later & if not have a Merry Christmas!!

I just started my christmas shopping a week ago & you would not believe what I saw. I saw "Star Wars: The clone wars season 1" I watched it on tv, but for some reason it just didn't catch my attention, I guess Lucasfilms is aiming Star Wars more toward little kids instead of the fan's & hard core fan's alike. I was thinking last night what I would like to see in a awesome upcoming zombie film, my thought was a dude seeing a "Twilight" display stand in some sort of shopping store, the dude hauls out a big ass machine gun & blow's the entire display to hell..followed by him saying "I hate that Motherfuck'n Twilight bullshit!!" I think I would shit myself laughing if I ever heard that in a film, I would be laughing harder than the time I went to see "Team America: World Police" with my buddies years ago. Where you work do you get really stupid fuck'n customers? I sure do & I'll tell ya there have been a few of them I felt like beating the shit out of just because they asked a really redundant question. So are you getting ready for the holiday season?

I can understand being disappointed considering Pixar's track record. At least it's better than Cars(I don't hate it, but it's hard to watch it again.)

Why do you have Ratatouille on your All-Time Worst lists? I loved the movie! I think it's one of Pixar's(and Brad Bird's) weaker films, but it's still heads and shoulders over some other family movies I've seen.
