Great Lines From Great Songs

I’ve gotta say that my favorite thing about music is actually the lyrics. I usually have no idea what most songs (especially rock) mean, but I still enjoy the weird, mysterious feelings they convey. Even if lyrics aren’t all that important to you, I’m sure most of you have lyrics you fucking love. What are they? And don’t worry if they sound weird or don’t make sense out of context. Here’s some of mine: “I wanna live, I WISH I WAS DEAD!!,” from Black Flag’s ‘What I See’ “Raised in Carolina,I’m…See More

Film(s) You Think Could Have Done Much Better Had They Been Released Earlier/Later

Is there a movie you think would have done much better financially and/or critically had it been released at some other point in time?I really think M Night Shyamalan’s Unbreakable was released at the wrong time. Even though X-Men had just come out recently and was a huge box office attraction, superhero movies still had a lot to prove, and people especially weren’t ready to accept or even understand why a superhero film was so slow paced and devoid of action scenes. I think movie-goers of…See More

Have You Ever Been Accidentally Turned On By Someone Underage?

I was watching Once Upon A Time In America a few weeks ago and there was a scene in which a hot young girl was dancing like a ballerina. To me, she looked like she was about 18 or 19, so I was happily getting hornier and hornier as I watched her. But then I found out from Wikipedia that it was a 14-year-old Jennifer Connolly and I was all like…See More

Your Favorite Villains From The Batman Movies

I’m probably the worst person to ask this question right now, since I haven’t even seen The Dark Knight Rises yet, but from the 7 Batman movies that have so far been released, which are your favorite villains? For me:1)      Heath Ledger’s Joker – I’m pretty sure most people are gonna have this as their number 1. I’ve talked a lot about this character on my most recent blog ‘Top 5 Villains of the 2000s’ so I’m not gonna mention why I’m so in love with this performance here.2)      Aaron…See More

Top 5 Villains of the 2000s

The heroes they’re constantly in battle with might not be too fond of them, but I’m betting all you people can’t get enough of VILLAINS!! Yessuh, I’ve dedicated an entire blog to the Top 5 baddies we (or at least, I) can’t get enough of. 4 are from films, but number 3 is from a TV show.Keep in mind that this is all O-P-I-N-I-O-N and you can disagree with me as much as you’d like to. But also know that if you do disagree, you’re probably an idiot. Just sayin’… 5. Agent Smith from The Matrix…See More

Original and Fascinating Ideas In Fiction

Can you think of some ideas in movies, tv shows, and/or books that amazed the shit out of you with how brilliant and original they were?I’m sure more will come to me, but right off the top of my head:In one of the very few Spider-Man comics I’ve read, Spidey actually gets killed by a guy. However, he later gets resurrected when it’s revealed that all those years ago when the radioactive spider bit him and gave him spider-like powers, he literally became half-man and half-spider. But apparently,…See More

Great Scenes In Mediocre/Terrible Movies

Great movies are full of great scenes, but are there any mediocre or even terrible movies out there that have a scene or two that amazes you?In the mediocre category, I would have to go with 2006’s The Illusionist. In the scene, Ed Norton’s character brilliantly humiliates the Crown Prince.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g7vcXZmr6K8In the terrible category, it’s 2009’s Remember Me. The Ultimate Question: Ass or Titties?

Yes people, I have dared to put forth the Ultimate Question: Is it the Booty you love, or is it the Breasts?Personally, I can't believe that after all this time titties have never been officially declared as the victor in this epic battle. Nothing, and I mean NOTHING, beats a nice pair of boobies.Don't get me wrong, a great ass is a great ass, but if a girl doesn't let you do her up the ass, what's the point?See More

Pick A Fictional Character And A Band/Artist You Think He/She Would Be Into And Why

What the title says.I think Christopher Nolan's Joker would be a fan of Faith No More's last three albums: Angel Dust, King For A Day Fool For A Lifetime, and Album Of The Year. It's hard to explain, but there seems to be a really strange sadness to a lot of FNM's music lurking behind all the aggressive insanity and black humor, just like the Joker.See More

Topics You Think Should Be Discussed On LEOG

What are some topics you think the guys on LEOG should discuss or even devote entire episodes to?I really, REALLY want them to do an entire episode on the original Twilight Zone series hosted by Rod Serling. It's such an indispensable part of geek culture and I'm really surprised the guys haven't done an episode on it yet (I'm pretty sure, correct me if I'm wrong, that at least 3 of the guys are fans of the show). Also, I think I remember them doing an episode on villains in general, but how…See More

More Superhero projects for Christopher Nolan to Consider

With the recent announcement that both Catwoman and Bane have been confirmed as the villains for next year’s The Dark Knight Rises, all my fears of seeing The Riddler or The Penguin in the next installment were erased and replaced by renewed and strengthened faith in director Christopher Nolan. Also, it got me thinking as to what other superhero films would be suitable for the man to direct. Here they are.
