The artist formerly known as Life In Chartreuse. Luke Among Clouds has more of a ring to it... plus, it's a Star Wars reference. Just 'Luke' works fine, too :)

You're Changing That Boy's Life... -My Review Of 'The Blind Side'

When I sat down to watch The Blind Side, I had an extensive set of negative predetermined notions about the film. But I felt like I had to see it for myself, regardless of everything I had heard that made me want to pass the film by. When I saw the trailer, I thought the movie looked like a LifeTime movie, an after-school drama special peppered with generic sports action. Truth be told, my perceptions weren't too far from the truth. That being said, The Blind Side is a decent little film in its…See More

My Name Is Salmon... Like The Fish. -My Review Of 'The Lovely Bones'

I'm not big on reading. I'm not one of those ignorant people who says they hate it... I just lack the patience and devotion that's required to buckle down and read an entire novel from start to finish. But every once in a while, a book will come along that piques my interest for some reason, whether it be a recommendation from a friend, a 'you've got to read this!' sort of vibe among people, or-- in this case-- a movie adaptation in production that sparked my interest. The particular book in…See More

My (Life In Chartreuse) Top 10 Films of 2009

As the year comes to a close, it’s time once again to look back on the year in film. There was a slew of great films to be seen, and ‘09 was a year dominated by sci-fi and animation. So without further ado, here are my favorite films from 2009.10.) Avatar- Master director James Cameron's 3D sci-fi epic is engaging, gorgeous, and sets a new standard for visual effects and what can be done with animation. The Na’vi creatures look so lifelike that you’ll get wrapped up in the lush world of Pandora…See More

I Have No Plans To Eat Anybody. My review of 'Where The Wild Things Are'

Ever since I first saw the trailer for Spike Jonze's film adaptation of the much-loved children's book 'Where The Wild Things Are,' by Maurice Sendak I was awestruck and had nothing but high hopes for the movie. And it's finally here- and I'm here to tell you that it absolutely lives up to the hype. So I'll get right into the details...'Where The Wild Things Are' was directed by Spike Jonze (Adaptation, Being John Malkovich) and was written by Spike Jonze and Dave Eggers. Max Records stars as…See More

You Can't Fight Fate- My Review Of 'Law Abiding Citizen'

Gerard Butler is the poor man’s Clive Owen. He’s desperately trying to be the next big action star, but he’s got miles to go before he’s anywhere near being labeled with that title. I’ve yet to see a performance of his that really blew me away. But that doesn’t mean I’m…

Absolutely Luke. It made number 4 on my top 10 of 2010. I loved what they did with the single player and even tried my hand at the multiplayer a bit. Unfortunately, Starcraft multi requires more time and practice than I'm really able to devote these days. The single player campaign was the most entertaining RTS I've probably ever played. Now if only they'd speed up releasing the expansions, I could sleep at night.

Dude, that is one of the best avatars I've ever seen. It combines my love of LOST, with my hatred of Twilight. Must show friends in same position.
