I also understand about your reasons for Mr. Fox as well. I think Rushmore is more of a film I relate to more because Max I feel is the alter ego of myself in some ways. Like him he pays more attention to projects than the actual work which is kind of like myself in a way :)
Hey I have to tell somebody this but I saw The Godfather part 1 and 2 recently and while the first part is good, I find the second part a major achievement! That film and Empire Strikes Back, and The Dark Knight is what a sequel should strive for. This film trumps the first part in many ways, I felt like I was watching 2 great films @ once! I find it fascinating that Coopola made this fast paced and no once of fat is found any scenes in my opinion.
