What makes a good movie?

Now I maybe young, but I love to talk about movies, almost to the point where I become obsessive. I like to put my two cents here and list some things that I think makes a good movie. I will be using examples from several films to help prove my point.

I respect others' right to speak their minds, so feel free to add some more suggestions or post some stuff that you disagree with (just as long as they are not offensive). Here's what I think makes a good film:

By the way, give American Beauty another chance. Try to accept the characters for what they are, focus on Kevin Spacey's character and appreciate his sense of self-realization throughout the film. I think you'll like it more that way.
